  1. Billy Bobs head just exploded, lol!!!!
  2. No worries man, I'll make sure to lay a beating on them for you
  3. If dolphins weren't so cute and cuddly, no one would care. Same thing with the seal hunt.
  4. For a newb, don't worry about flouro leads, all you need is a spool of cheap Maxima 4lb Ultra Green, some #10's or #8 hooks, a few black Raven floats, some micro swivels and some shot... Steelhead aren't exactly very smart, lol. The biggest thing is to make sure you're not running to short of a lead and change things up until you figure out a pattern. I've found that 99% of the guys on the river are more then willing to help out a newb and give you a few pointers. Watch what other people are doing and if it's working for them, then it should work for you. I always look at what type of leads people are running if I'm on a new piece of water.. In the spring you can run all kinds of baits and still get bit. Worms (live and Berkley trout worms), dead minnows, roe, whatever..
  5. Doug, I hope you got the EcoBoost in that bad boy!
  6. A Sahara 1500 or 2500 and a decent rod is all that's needed. $350 on a spinning combo? For what the OP wants, that's a complete waste.
  7. You aren't trying hard enough if summer or spring is boring, lol. Bring on the steelhead, then the residents, then the warm water species, by the time that's all over we are back into steelhead and then icefishing. It never stops!
  8. Real worm Although on the few flyins I've been on, you could use rope on a harness and catch fish, lol.
  9. I like using the Gulp leeches on a harness, last a lot longer then a worm..
  10. How do those bucktails look on a worm harness? I'd assume a wee bit funny.
  11. Nice job Chris!
  12. If I'm bass fishing, I'll start off with a search bait such as a Rattlin' Rap. If that's what the fish want, I'll toss it the entire day.
  13. HTC Desire Z here running Android 2.2. I don't use half the bells and whistles, lol.
  14. Can always count on Jose, having the latest bling bling!!! Awesome reels man!
  15. There's an old guy down at the 'Geen that uses a setup like this and he lays a beating on fish. Of course he is reaching the seams waaaay out of reach of anyone else. Everytime I'm there I see him if I'm fishing around the trailer park. Always in the same place, lol...
  16. Excellent, thanks bud! Exactly what I wanted to hear.
  17. New line of St.Croix's have had a lot of people talking. Great price as well.
  18. Perhaps when I approach old age, lol.
  19. I'm usually a do it yourselfer, but the idea of taking this not so cheap reel apart and doing this myself doesn't sit very well with me. Anyone know someone or some place local to the Barrie area that I could take it in and get it cleaned/oiled? I was thinking the only place I know of is Trombleys, but I'm not to up on their track record.
  20. He should probably check the Floatboard as well if he's looking for some used gear.
  21. Well kinda of.. The part is probably worth $300, you paid $450 for labour
  22. Mike, I'm laughing about as hard as these other guys :)
  23. Wow, that's a cow!!!! Good job!
  24. It's been cold as hell up here, I wouldn't worry about taking the car or truck out this weekend.
