  1. There's like 6 inches of vis, those fish weren't seeing anything except for a pink worm smashing them in the face
  2. If the line fades or loses it's colour, I don't see the big deal.
  3. Fireline Crystal for the spinning rods and Suffix Performance braid on the baitcaster. I did pick up some Suffix 832 which will find it's way onto my Calais this year.. Looking forward to it. 80lb PowerPro on the muskie rigg.
  4. I was out with another forum member in our pontoon boats. It was fish after fish. I just think I had the bad juju that day, lol... I've used the same flouro afterwards and had zero issues.
  5. I've had a day or two that regardless of what knot I was using it would just break, lol. I use an improved clinch to the hook, make sure it's wet and tighten the tag end only.
  6. lol!! I am getting out this evening.. I have a feeling that will be it for a while!
  7. Sweet man!! Don't ya love days like those?
  8. 2lb leader? Wow man, the lightest I run is 4lb, and that's pushing it... I usually use 4lb Maxima mono for leader unless I'm fishing ultra gin clear water, then I'll run 4lb Froghair. I think you've found your problem.. Leave the 2lb for panfish No need to use it for steelhead. GBW: 4lb Maxima Ultra Green mono dude.. It's cheap and works great.
  9. When I was looking for a machine, a buddy of mine who is very well versed in all things snowmobiles told me to stay away from the triples for this very reason. I think you give people too much credit :)
  10. What kind of setup were you using? I really lay into them and my hookup percentage is extremely high.. The rod should take most of the shock out of the equation.

    Wow!

Chicago can thank the post for being a game 7.
  12. I was going to say, triples are known for dropping a cylinder and the owner having no idea. It will run on 2cyls just fine and wreck a crapload of stuff while it's at it.
  13. You definitely aren't early. Looks like opener might have come a wee bit late this year, lol. Although really you can't complain when the fish do their thing and get back to the lake before people have a chance to target them. Think about the returns we'll see in 2-3 years because of it.. No complaints from me.
  14. No point in fishing that river when it's blown out. In the spring time it's always a gamble. In the fall however I'm on it a few times a week at least..
  15. Milo, I can't eat them, so bait it is!!! lol! Although I'm sure if I got a few, the oldman would fry some up.
  16. Same here for the few times I've been there..
  17. OFC most likely gets more traffic then that site could ever imagine. I'm sure they aren't to worried about it. Now if this was a cross Canada publication, I could see you point.
  18. Last sat in April for the OP.
  19. Why would OFC be mentioned, it's not a lake specific board. I'm glad it wasn't anyhow, lol. Like we need more people here lurking for information, we have enough of that already.
  20. Sweet! Nice to see those fish done their business and on the way back.
  21. Good call on the parking, I'll bring some loonies and quarters along
