I've had my Humminbird 747c out on some pretty cold days.. Only thing I've noticed is the battery draining a bit faster then normal.. It's seen -20 on more then a few occasions.

I've never seen a LCD with a delay of any kind while on the ice. Even the lower end units.

Buy a normal fish finder instead, a lot easier to read

Saltydawg Absolutely. 99% of my whitie and laker catches are on the take (Meaning I'm coaxing the fish up from the bottom).... I've had lakers hit 10ft below the hole coming out of 100ft of water. Same goes with the whities, it's usually at least 20-30ft off bottom when they hammer my spoon. Can't do that without a finder When I think about it, I can't believe I even wasted time ice fishing for whities/lakers without one. Sure you'll have lucky days when the fish are hot, but that's not usually the case.

Depends on where the leak is... I've seen headgaskets go and the only sign was oil in the coolant... No coolant or anything making it into the combustion chamber.

I used 'One shot' instead of AI Servo for the focus, so instead of re-focusing for each shot, it kept the focal length from the original shot... I am soooo pissed at myself for doing this, lol. Anyhow, this is a big crop, some of the other pics after a crop just aren't sharp enough.... I'll have a Canon 100-400 on loan with me next year, so hopefully I'll get some even better shots!

I don't understand some of the newbs that think they can change the world. Zip it, sit down and enjoy the resource.. If you don't like it, go somewhere else.

I can't imagine the business they lose because of that site... Spend the cash, get a proper site done and that's it.. It's not as expensive in this day and age...
