Parking for icefishing just irks me the wrong way.

Not very good spawning water Even the nooks don't stop there! lol

They don't spawn in the C&R zone.... Making it a no fish zone would be pointless.

Only from the confluence of the Boyne/Notty to the confluence of the Pine/Notty.

You see no harm in up to date water conditions, fish caught and what presentations worked? I guess you like people doing the leg work for you BTW, mentioning Angus is like mentioning Erindale park on the Credit (OMG did I just ruin that fishery to?!??!?!)

Education is way cheaper then a tag system I never fish the lower stretches, so I'm only going by the handful of times I've ever fished right in Angus. I've gotten some strange looks after releasing fish

Bait prices up north are going to skyrocket!

Let's hope the winter weather gets her so everyone will start ice fishing. More reports on Simcoe, less on the rivers.

If the ice is soft enough to bend when someone walks by and makes water come out the hole, that's too thin for me.

+1 most guys on the river are more then willing to give you a few tips...

They'll hole up anywhere... I can't see them ripping back down to the lake if they've got decent holding water in the river. And the past few weeks, even when it's been super cold, I've had fish come out of the water 3-4 times... They don't seem to care too much

If you pull it up and say HOLY CRAP LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THIS BROOKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!....................It's most likely a splake

Had a few at the Vaughn store, didn't pay enough attention to notice the fuel type however.

Another thing people tend to do is over think things... Steelhead aren't very smart, if you are in the zone, they'll usually hit. One of the things I see are guys fishing the wrong water and running their rigs way to shallow.. Biggest thing I've learned the last few years is reading water.. Once you figure out where they are, they are fairly simple to catch.

I guess you've got nothing to worry about then I've never noticed a difference between running reg vs premium.

Faster water, bigger float, more shot to get it down quick. Like it was mentioned, you'll wanna bulk shot about 18-24inches above your bait so it gets down and stays down.

We usually pull down 10-12mpg pulling a 29ft 5th wheel and boat. 17-18mpg unloaded in the Duramax. I'm lucky if I pull 15mpg city and 18-19mpg highway with my S10 ZR2, lol.

Mike if you notice that much improvement running premium, you've got something wrong with your motor....
