Mike, 3 hrs should probably do it. However if you're battery is dying that quick you might think about a battery blanket.. Or even a solar powered trickle charger you could toss on the dash when you're not driving it.
I'd definitely have a rope around my wrist if I was using that thing. I could easily see me trying to be Hercules and it ending up at the bottom of lake Simcoe, lol.
Did you upgrade the motor package? That's one thing I noticed when we started to look for a new boat. Lots of features, great price, but extremely underpowered in the standard package. We ended up with a used Lund, couldn't be happier.
Used my Humminbird 788ci out on the ice today for the first time, whoa baby, I love high resolution screens for ice fishing, lol.
Even picked up the ice on the line
That GLX prototype is slick, Ferg is going to LOVE that rod!!! I'll make sure to steal it from him for a few drifts
I'm looking forward to Mike's review of the new 2pc 13' CTS.
A 16' tiller is fine out on Lake O, just watch the wind and pick your days carefully. That's all we ever fished out of when I was a kid, 16ft Smokercraft with a 25hp 2 stroke Johnson.. Never an issue.
Simcoe is another place where I've heard guys have good success stirring up the bottom. Going to put some time in on that lake this year for bass and lakers.
It's got nothing to do with snowmobilers, it's got to do with leaving debris in the lake once the ice melts. It's pollution plain and simple, even if you think it's just a piece of wood.
