  1. Bubbles, that's what I did lastnight and it worked like a charm.. I think that's exactly what I'll do in the future.
  2. That reel seat is right smack dab in the middle! A bit of a weird position..
  3. Almost 10,000 views and 77 replies, lol. Can you tell people are itching to go icefishing?
  4. Don't worry about dry ice. Fridge, freezer, etc are all on site. It's like a home away from home. Pack lots of Johnson Silver Minnows and 5inch twistertails! You'll need at least 5-6 packs of those
  5. Rod locker on the Lund works great. I've got a 7ft 1 pc in there without issue, I wanna see if I can get my 8ft 1pc muskie rod in there come spring!
  6. Larry, it's very possible. I put both my batteries on my big charger lastnight, set it to 2a and it took a few hours to charge the one battery. Other battery might be toast, I could hear it boiling and quickly unplugged it.
  7. Best time to go is early in the season when those big gators are still shallow. As for a decline? I doubt it, guys up there aren't keeping giant snakes and no walleye come home with you.
  8. Gary's new company is called North Fork Composites... http://www.northforkcomposites.com You can buy blanks directly from the site..
  9. Wayne, I could definitely bastardize a normal wall charger Lots of those around the house!
  10. I've had the worst luck with these chargers... The one that came with my Humminbird portable pack lasted 1 year, my replacement just died on me today. There's gotta be something better out there... What are you guys using?
  11. No, completely different platforms..
  12. 4 degrees tomorrow and 25k winds. Say goodbye to that ice! LOL!!! We should make a pool as to when we are going to get out on the main lake.
  13. You're getting a higher resolution with the 8 compared to the 7 (800x600 vs 640x480) also almost 2 more inches of screen size. That's quite the bump!
  14. 5inches isn't bad at all.. I fished on just over 3inches early last year on the north side of the lake.... You never get used to that noise
  15. Man, that's way to dicey for me.. I'll wait till Feb, lol... Be careful out there boys!
  16. I've got some Gibsons Finest Rare 18 year on top of the fridge, that might just be the cure
  17. I figured that out after you replied I might have a case of winter fever.
  18. Dan, I thought the OP was asking about Simcoe, lol! Yeah there's other ice up here to fish.. But I got the itch for lakers and whities!
  19. Awesome thanks guys! Got a few places up there I wanna hit, but I'm not humping in Appreciate the info.
  20. What are the snow conditions up there like? Enough to run a sled?
  21. Zero ice anywhere, was down at 9th line this morning, what a joke. We won't be out until Feb if we are lucky.
  22. If you've got the room, it's silly not to have one.
  23. I've caught most of my lakers right off bottom, but yeah usually 10-15ft above bottom with a big tube or larger sized Willians spoon... I get all my lakers on the chase.. I've had fish come out of 100ft of water after I've dropped my lure in the hole, hitting it 10ft below the ice.. The best is watching them on the graph coming up for the kill!!!
