  1. Very nice man!!!!
  2. I'm just saying the wind took it's toll on the ice way before Friday morning... That last wind storm was the kicker.
  3. Drew's a superstar!
  4. Uh the wind didn't come out of nowhere, it had been blowing for THREE STRAIGHT DAYS!!!!!! Ask anyone who lives here.. The night before it was howling at 50km/h with gusts to 80km/h, I thought the roof of my house was going to lift off.
  5. I'll gladly pay extra for cork, I hate foam handles...
  6. I hope there were no kids out there, can't imagine how scared they were.
  7. This coming from the guy who has an avatar of his kids getting run over by a truck! You should know what sarcasm is Of course I wasn't talking literally with my first reply, I'd never wish harm upon anyone.. Hopefully they've learned a very valuable lesson from all of this. Kudo's to the rescue team that got them off the ice safe and sound!
  8. That ice was 3 inches thick two weeks ago.. There were guys riding around on snowmobiles and 4wheelers.. Talk about stupid!
  9. Cliff, you gotta turn your sarcasm meter back on
  10. After the winds we've had the past couple days and the main lake being open for the past 2 weeks, I can't understand why ANYONE would be out there in places where it would be considered 'iffy'.. Hell I wouldn't even be out in Kemp...
  11. Was an interesting drive this morning down to the Big Smoke!
  12. They should leave them out there for 12hrs as a lesson in stupidity.
  13. You need to cut them off, loop on the single hook then squeeze the eye of the hook shut.
  14. Dave, I've got room for that motor as well :whistling:
  15. You really should check out one of those 'Ultra Light noodles' They've got a lot more backbone then they used to have Nice soft tip but some balls in the bottom end if you need it... Can't beat them for humping into tiny trout streams as well...
  16. Small 2-stroke would be ideal. No gear case oil to deal with plus a lot lighter.
  17. Gotta earn your keep! Mike comes up with the great ideas, I follow with all the heavy stuff on my back No complaints! Although next time, I gotta stay hydrated.. I never want those leg cramps again.......ever.
  18. As long as you don't mind me coming over and drooling in the hanger, we'll be good! lol!
  19. Wayne, I think I said it last year but I'd love to see that bird out during the summer! Bring the wifes Vette as well Such awesome cars!
  20. 832 is awesome if you want to tip wrap like crazy! Definitely not a line you want to fish topwaters with!
  21. You gotta find them first Elusive little buggers at times!
  22. If there is ever a lake around here filled to the brim with emerald shiners (or any other type of bait that schools) then these might come in useful. For now, I doubt it will be the next big bass killer.
  23. Not a very good idea if you want that motor to survive.. Would be no problem on a decent path, but if you are humping a motor through dense brush, you won't get very far... Mike and I did a horrible portage a few years ago, I humped that little 4 stroke of his by the handle like carrying a suit case.. Not the best, but if I had to drop it, it was only going 1-2ft as most. The Sportspal was even more fun!! But the 10lb+ walleyes we caught were well worth it!
  24. Thanks! Going to stock up!
  25. Brookies in 6ft of water or less.
