You've gotta be right besides you're buddy if you'll be using his gun without having a valid PAL of your own. So he'll need to be attached to your hip. If he isn't, what you're doing isn't legal.

I didn't realize you didn't have your PAL.. There's no way they'd issue you a hunting license without one.

I use my Humminbird 788ci in the boat and on the ice. However I prefer the 747c (Which gets bow duty in the summer) on the ice because the refresh is better.

It's too bad the cat didn't maul those two retards to death.

Wind can bust up ice in no time.. A few unlucky people found out on Simcoe last year and had to be rescued by helicopter.

My Humminbird 747c does the same thing with my X19 iceducer. When it's starting up press the menu button before it completely starts up and select normal.. Sometimes I've gotta unplug the transducer and plug it back in before the graph picks it up.. Not all the time, completely random.

I'm sure it will happen to me at some point as well, lol!

I'll take a drive by tonight and check it out. If there was any ice starting to form in the bay, that's all been blown down towards the marina/ramp. Maybe that's what you're seeing.

Skim with 45km/h winds today? I'd be surprised if there is any ice at all on the bay.

We've got a Yamaha T8 High Thrust (electric start, power tilt) on our Lund Pro Sport, it doesn't shake anymore then other motors I've had. Combined with a TrollMaster Pro 2 and it's great out on the big lake for salmon/trout.

It seems like the only people that get mad in muskie threads are the muskie guys.. Everyone here had nothing but good things to say.

I've been running Nanofil for about 2 years, started off with Fireline then made the switch. It's such awesome stuff. If it didn't rip to shreds once the ice hits the guides, it would be the perfect line.

If I leave the hut I open the bail, lol! I'd hate to come back and have the entire rig at the bottom of the lake.
