Yup, things are looking awful colourful up here.. Time to break out the UWA and get some landscape shots! A day trip to Algonquin sounds like a great idea.

Nice surprise at the ramp yesterday Rob We put together a pretty good pattern and had quite the evening. No muskies though! So your rival is still out there waiting for you, lol.
-
Chris, those are fat pigs for sure!

Just stick with it man, you'll get it. I've also noticed that if you let a big salmon way downstream of you, their tail can easily snap whatever leader/mainline you're running. Happened to be a bunch when fishing a Lake O estuary a few years ago, couldn't figure out what was going on until I actually saw it happen, lol.

It's almost like Xmas, but better! lol!

You need to not let the opinions of some random guy on a internet fishing forum bug you so much. Really man, OP had a good time, I'm sure he doesn't give a rats ass at what I think about it, lol. Hopefully he gets out on Lake O in July and experiences these fish at their prime, once he does he'll figure out why a lot of us don't bother with them once they are zombies and roaming the rivers.

Last edit is quite a bit cleaner then the first. Are you editing RAW or jpg files? If RAW, I'd really suggest Photoshop or at least Lightroom.

You're a man of many talents my friend.

Can I get this engraved on my next rebuild? I like the ring to it. Or perhaps 'Zombie slayer?'

Dirty boots in 2ft of water.. Did they even have a chance?

I'd be tossing hardware this time of year, especially if you're new to the game. Spoons, spinners, whatever.

You sure you're not talking about Sens fans? It seems that the only thing they talk about are the Leafs

Please sign the petition for: free access to Simcoe Lake in Cook's bay
BillM replied to gogu392's topic in General Discussion
I gotta pay to launch my boat in Humber Bay, why shouldn't you have to pay up here? Only launch I can use for free is the Tiffin access, all the others I've gotta pay as well... and I'm local! -
6'8 trying to fight Kessel, lol that's awesome. I seriously crack up anytime I see Kessel swing the lumber on the replays!!!!

Been hitting the water pretty hard since bass opener with the oldman (We average 3-4 times a week) and have had a riot with bass this year. Now that the cool nights and shorter days are upon us I'm trying to key in on those fish that are starting to migrate towards their fall patterns. The smallies aren't to hard to figure out, we've done ok with droppshotting and vertical jigging spoons when running over big schools off the drops and transitions.. The largemouth I'm having a bit of a tougher time with.. Still some fish really shallow and in the slop but nothing with any size. I've read that unlike smallmouth which change depths with the seasons, the largies just move off the structure a bit more.. I'd love to hear what you guys like as your go to patterns in the fall. From what I've seen the water temps are anywhere from low 60's to still almost 70 in some of the lakes I'm fishing. As a side note, the crappies have been insane this summer, probably the best summer we've ever had for them. Big average (12-13in with some whopper 14-15in fish in that mix as well)..

A 20 year old boat is still a 20 year old boat no matter what kind of goodies you put on it, lol.

Barometer is always a pretty important factor when I'm fishing.. Like today, I knew it wasn't going to be a slammer after a storm rolled through, we had to work for our fish but we had a pretty good day when it was all said and done. If I could have been there yesterday morning (or even Thurs evening) , it would have been slammer.

I'd guess maybe 13-15lbs for that chinook? Odd rod holder setup as well, lol.
-
I think the $8500 range sounds about right.

Let the thread die.
