  1. Can I get this engraved on my next rebuild? I like the ring to it. Or perhaps 'Zombie slayer?'
  2. Dirty boots in 2ft of water.. Did they even have a chance?
  3. I'd be tossing hardware this time of year, especially if you're new to the game. Spoons, spinners, whatever.
  4. You sure you're not talking about Sens fans? It seems that the only thing they talk about are the Leafs
  5. Grown men comparing themselves to Phil Kessel... I think I've seen it all now!
  6. I gotta pay to launch my boat in Humber Bay, why shouldn't you have to pay up here? Only launch I can use for free is the Tiffin access, all the others I've gotta pay as well... and I'm local!
  7. 6'8 trying to fight Kessel, lol that's awesome. I seriously crack up anytime I see Kessel swing the lumber on the replays!!!!
  8. Been hitting the water pretty hard since bass opener with the oldman (We average 3-4 times a week) and have had a riot with bass this year. Now that the cool nights and shorter days are upon us I'm trying to key in on those fish that are starting to migrate towards their fall patterns. The smallies aren't to hard to figure out, we've done ok with droppshotting and vertical jigging spoons when running over big schools off the drops and transitions.. The largemouth I'm having a bit of a tougher time with.. Still some fish really shallow and in the slop but nothing with any size. I've read that unlike smallmouth which change depths with the seasons, the largies just move off the structure a bit more.. I'd love to hear what you guys like as your go to patterns in the fall. From what I've seen the water temps are anywhere from low 60's to still almost 70 in some of the lakes I'm fishing. As a side note, the crappies have been insane this summer, probably the best summer we've ever had for them. Big average (12-13in with some whopper 14-15in fish in that mix as well)..
  9. A 20 year old boat is still a 20 year old boat no matter what kind of goodies you put on it, lol.
  10. Barometer is always a pretty important factor when I'm fishing.. Like today, I knew it wasn't going to be a slammer after a storm rolled through, we had to work for our fish but we had a pretty good day when it was all said and done. If I could have been there yesterday morning (or even Thurs evening) , it would have been slammer.
  11. I'd guess maybe 13-15lbs for that chinook? Odd rod holder setup as well, lol.
  12. Tell all those rainbows way up in the tribs of the 'Geen they are really steelhead, lol.
  13. Muskymatt must be apart of the Ottawa CSI team or something. All this indepth knowledge about the crash and who's responsible!
  14. I think it's a bit early to start blaming anyone.. Also, you wanna pay that 'billion dollar' lawsuit tab if/when it ever gets paid out? Let's be realistic.
  15. I really wouldn't be worried about superglue leaving a scent on the bait.. I'd use something like Gorilla glue.
  16. No probs man.. I order all kinds of stuff from Centerpinangling... Great guy, decent prices and fast shipping..
  17. I use cheap mono for backing, some guys use dacron... You can get all kinds of floats at centerpinangling.com.. Riverwoods are decent, lots of others kicking around as well. As for hooks, it depends on the size of the bag (at least for me). Personally I don't run any of the small silly stuff (size 14, etc)... Usually thick wire # 6, 8 and 10.
  18. Rich, no white bucket to put them in?
  19. Let's hope the bugs aren't as bad as they were the last time I was up in May!!! See ya up there!
  20. Doug always catches the big ones Nice job fellas!
