I'd love a glass boat with nice high gunwales for Lake O and Gbay and the other big lakes. But we do way too much fishing on smaller lakes with really crappy launch ramps. I'd hate to scratch up a nice boat like that

I wouldn't be out on the water in a canoe at that time a year, whatever thought process went into this decision was a bad one. I can't imagine how the parents thought that was a good idea. Life jackets don't save you from hypothermia. -

I'd remove the back hook but I don't fish body baits much up there for brookies. Flys/spoons.

Yup, I don't even consider him a backup to be honest, he could start for us with the way he's played.

I never remove my trebles and replace with siwash, especially for brook trout. I usually remove the stock hooks and add Owners (a bit bigger then the original). Pinch the barbs down and you're golden. You definitely want to bring body baits up there.

Yeah you need to be real close for spring browns, 20ft of water is way too much. If you aren't hitting bottom with the lures off the boards once in a while, move closer

Make sure you know the sanctuary boundries.. Also the no kill section. That river is a tough nut to crack.

Make sure the season is open before you start fishing You'll get fresh fish, drop backs and ones that are hanging out in the estuary water. They'll be all over the place.
