  1. Big fan of icefishing here too. Its all about the experience for sure. Cant put it into words, I just love it.
  2. Package of baits arrived today - thanks Jamie! Gonna be a longggg wait till i can use'm though. I laughed when i took the packaging off & saw they were in a donut box! yer a funny guy, thanks again.
  3. right on Raf!
  4. thanks for sharing Dave you were in good company with those too, they are logging some serious hours on that body of water sure has been some outstanding weather there to get out in
  5. definetly multi species though I am really starting to enjoy open water trolling for salmon, trout & walleye, i still find time for all the others. Its nearly impossible to be a year round angler with just one species in mind, though it does make things a little more pricey to outfit yerself to be able to do so I also enjoy travelling around to new spots/places, so being a multi-species guy I am never disapointed with what species are available in a given spot.
  6. Barely began my muskie season before it ended - fished muskie a total of 3 times only one landed fell short of 40" the majority of my season this year was spent on salmon & 'eyes - had a couple fall muskie trips planned, but bad weather made me fall back on plans b & c only about half a year till muskie opens
  7. no reason why you couldnt fish from a boat - no different then soem of the boats that fish the open waters of Quinte duuring the winter - of course you are only allowed one/angler in the bat
  8. in the same boat as you but with a different operator - fingers & toes crossed it gets cold FAST!
  9. ok fine Pete, next time we're trolling & we're changing baits, you reel 'em in & pick up the "drowning presents" ok?
  10. Zander? is'nt that one of them European super walleyes? err... i mean pickerals?

  12. No problem Jamie - little less then 1/2 a year till i can toss 'em baits anywayz thanks again DSI - Dont Say It
  13. well done shaun, thanks for sharing - cant believe how flat the water is in some of those photos
  14. the Clam 2000 is a great hut for 1-2 people - will fit in most cars too this summer during a rainy Saturday I made a small sled frame for it with runners - will make hand pulling it a breeze and i can add a tow bar to it if I ever plan to tow it. - i'll post some pics when i get my digital camera for Christmas
  15. Gotta love it when something like this is in my kneck of the woods for a change. Pending decent weather I will be chasing trout/salmon that day..... will at the very least have a cold one with the group later on
  16. congrats Roger! now budget for some riggers & planerboards for them salmon!
  17. Happy to hear all of this my friend. Life 'aint easy at all, but in time, the obstacles can be overcome. A very Merry Christmas to you & the family Peter. I look forward to wetting a line with you again in the New Year.
  18. wow! well done Fish Guts great use of the slideshow photos
  19. its his report - let'em do as he wants - thanks for posting! i think this is why we dont see as many reports as there used to be - the potential to getting knit-picked for whatever reason (good or bad, too much or too little detail) and what Phil said, dig into some magazines from the 80's or early 90's many more guys pounding the banks - thats cause there wasnt interent / frequent reports, more coverage/communication etc.... more anglers DID the legwork for whatever season/species
  20. only a few more weeks till THE TRIP Terry! Hold on! but ya would be nice to get out before that!
  21. LOL love it! Christmas socks!
  22. hmmm i think 4 that ive deemed un-fixable ( in about 21 yrs) - one in my bike tire spokes, 1 car door, one noodle rod to a BIG steelie (my fault) & the other i forget i have been able to salvage others in the past back to useable or into ice rods
