cant beat georgian bay. early october is a fickle time on the bay as things really start to transition. The bite can be strange, especially for pike. If you find smallies you will find loads. They then seem to almost disappear by the end of the month, but then you can find monster pike and catch eyes until you get bored. thanks for the report, i love seeing folks catching on the bay

considering the fact that I started seriously watching the leafs in 2000...i think i have the right to be a little excited. Thats 17 seasons of watching nearly every single game with basically nothing to show for it...pardon me for being excited!

if you can do that in the kawarthas, imagine what you could do on one of the great lakes in an area with minimal pressure... you see the fly in reports, those guys catch 100+ eyes a day any time of the year...so the absolute peak of the season? triple headers (we even had a quadruple last year), etc etc happen all the time. sometimes the eyes get so thick you cant even get your bait down before you have another one on.

67 in four hours on the morning bite...go in, eat some breakfast and head back out. we easily put another 33+ in the boat for the evening bite no question. teach me oh walleye master teach me about what youve learned over the last "few years" considering ive been fishing for 26 and grew up in northern manitoba i clearly dont know anything about walleye lol. must really blow to be confined to lakes that have to close their fishery because of the pressure.

are you sure you werent in the boat with me? this is exactly what we did, we caught 32 eyes between 7 and 11 nothing over 17 inches long...my pops and brother stayed in the river and continued to smash em (they caught the other 34), sick of catching small ones the homie and I then headed out into the main basin and hit a 9lber within 5 minutes. (we ended up losing the bet because my pops and bro got beat us on numbers...the 9lber still only counted as one lol. I laugh at the fact that people saying im lying, jealousy really hurts i guess.

you dont have to believe me thats fine...November 7th last year between myself my good friend, my brother and my dad we caught 67 eyes in 4 hours....that was just the morning bite and i know the number because it was a competition between my friend and I and my pops and bro.

Much of georgian bay is also not charted...take a look at the area around the shawanaga river you will see that there is nothing there.

you think trolling motors are bad, try keep on top of the GPS units ahahaha. You cant win! Buy a unit and its obsolete the next day. I had a big conversation recently about how marcum flashers the ones with the big digital screens are totally obsolete and they only came out about 5 years ago. Marcum is going to literally go out of business because of it. we just bought a terrova with ipilot and blue tooth...im sure i wont be suffering with the 5 meters vs 30cm. Unless you are a billionaire you cant stay on top of this stuff, the ipilots, the ipilot link the blue tooth capability etc etc it just keeps going on.

well ive got a funny story about this...i wish i could tell you guys in person but ill do my best to convey the hilarity over message board post. A few years back when i first started getting into fishing two of my best friends who also happen to be brothers the cirillo brothers took me out bass fishing on the tri lakes. So there we were in the gannon narrows when dave says, oh snap...i gotta drop an aqua dump. Now these guys have mastered the art of hanging off the back ladder and using the passing lake water as a bidet of sorts...to the extreme they will even use ipilot to get the boat moving to even get some flow. noticing a boat about 50 yards to our port side, dave turns the boat so that our bow is facing the neighboring boat and then climbs onto the ladder on the stern and says "hey scott jump on the trolling motor pedal and make sure the front of the boat stays facing those guys so they cant see me" Here I am having never used a trolling motor in my life tasked with keeping the boat straight...and sure enough she starts to swing slightly...and sure enough me not knowing what the hell im doing puts the boat onto constant 4 with the head turned...the boat starts swinging quickly and dave starts screaming and sure enough theres dave ass out with a turd comin outta his rear end facing our neighbor and today hes dropping floaters...he finishes up as fast as possible, doesnt even warn me jumps in the boat fires up the engine and peels the hell outta there. Its now known as the cirillo aqua dump...and any time it happens we yell "Aqua Dump" to the tone of aqua lung.

i literally exclusively drop shot when fishing eyes in the fall..you basically have to find the holes...can be very tough fishing unless you are in the right areas...if you are in the right spot...you will catch more fish than you even care to catch. 100+ walleye days are the norm for me that time of year.

to all the young guys...start early the market will always increase over the long term..theres ups and downs but as long as the worlds population is increasing the stock market will go up.

ive got a stradic that was already beat to hell when i bought it...ive been using it now very heavily for 5 years...did the general maintenance in the fall the thing performs like its brand new...only problem is she is banggged up now lol. hands down best reel ive ever owned.
