ugh... should this storm hit, Nova Scotia... you will be seeing me on the East Coast... albeit after my weekend at Bernies! Looking forward to going "down home" lets just hope I am not there for months!... Not that that would be a badthing! G

I have scroll saw you can have.. it is small and for a hobbiest such as yourself.

Hahahaha! I forgot about that! good thing the door was open! it saved my truck from becoming structure!!

You have hit the nail on the head. We have had many discussions about this while playing cards or out fishing on Nip.. and the same resounding conclusion is made... just as you put it. G

I would be willing, on a foster type basis, and I would expect the owner to find a permanent home.... however Sunday is not doable... should a permanent owner not be found I will return the dogs back to the owner after one month. I/we are located in Hamilton. the owness is on the dogs owner to find them suitable accommodation, i can help out for a bit... but will not assume permanent possession of the dogs. G

but what did it taste like?

who farking cares, it may be the beer talking, or perhaps the stress (family court tomorrow)... but the the last time I checked this is a fishing forum.. not an unofficial NHL hockey forum... Either way over rated, under paid(so they claim) just whine and moan... I wish carpentry was a nationalized contact sport.... G.

there is a very simple way to deal with you're deductible... pick you're own shop to deal with... most will cover the deductible.. or hide it in their pricing.. does not hurt to ask around.. I did just this when I got into an accident with my truck. They wanted my business and took care of my 500.00 deductible. G.

Funeral Arrangements for Lake Nipissing are being made.

While I will remove myself from the race debate... as it will never be won by either side.. Be it native, black, asian, purple or green... I fail to see how increased capacity is a good thing for Nipissing.. The lake is already a version of it's former self. The slot was introduced to supposedly help Nipissing fish populations.. but what if a certain group did not have to follow the same rules the rest of us have to abide by... I can understand why the majority would be upset.. We have to put back prized table fare... only to have another group net them for profits. what about our need to provide "sustenance" to our families? and when did "sustenance" include private for profit corporations by one group/race of Canadians? I can see why people have issue with it.. However if the roles were reversed, would we do the same... in the name of the all mighty dollar... My gut tells me we would. Blame the agency that allowed it to happen.. not the people taking advantage of the rules.. G -
Here's what I do - What do y'all do?

Well it looks like my trip to Sask is alot closer then I thought.. they have had alot more wet weather, and the calls have been made. Once again I was talked to, to ensure I was willing to go. I will have 3 labourers with me to help carry my burden. Thanks everyone for the advice, I will have a rental car and hopefully find sometime to wet a line. I will contact holdie for a tour/fish.. should he be close to where I will be staying.. Hopefully I can sneak away for a couple hours.. as I will be working 3 weeks non-stop... (not unusual for me) It will be hard... but the money is good.. Really good.. and I get to visit a Province I have never seen! I have already been warned to stay out of the bars.. as some of the locals are not to fond of those from Ontario... I think I will take their advice.. anyways thanks again everyone, I will be sure to pack a rod and some assorted tackle.. Have a great night and a good weekend. G

Ohhh Man... I have got to build me a UDS... After years of looking at being built, seeing them in progress and looking at the final result..(that being food) I have been looking for a source for a food grade drum for some time.. but have come up empty anyways... good looking cook! I would hit them! G

I might be heading to Sask. to work.. 3 weeks on, 1 week off. I was asked today if I would be willing to go... after some thought, I think I might do it.... the money is very good, and it seems I have made a name through the company as the guy that gets things done... and so here I am... They have had major flooding in Sask, and I just happen to do insurance repair work (I sub through a major restoration company).. So.. being based in Saskatoon, is it worth it to pack a rod and some assorted tackle? are there any little lakes or rivers in Saskatoon? I could be leaving as early as next week! any info is appreciated G.

Not upset at all Brian, I just know the feeling all too well... having been through it... not to mention the OFC'rs that were by my side that had to endure as well... I honestly feel for the family in all of this... while I have gained acceptance, it was difficult. The realization that I cannot control everything, is a tough pill to swallow.. it took alot of therapy, and time... at 4 years,3 months, 2 hours or 12 years old... these are still our sons, daughters, cousins, nieces and nephews. They are the innocent.. and the ones taken far too soon.. perhaps I am having a bad day, or perhaps I needed this reminder.. Either way it helped me think of how precious Terrance was. Thank you for the reminder, and if there is anyway I can helkp this family through my own experience.... I would be certainly willing. G
