Just want to know what you guys deem is fair for insuring a new boat... I want to be sure that I am not getting ripped off here... I have my house and care with Certas, They have been more then fair to us in the past and I hope this price is also fair... Most know I bought a new boat etc I am getting everything insured for about 250.00 for the year.. That is Comprehensive, $1,000,000 in Liability and a 100.00 deductible.. reading the fine print is mind boggling.. it is insane.. they reword the same things many times over and it would take a snocket rientist to figure it out... What is it you pay for your insurance? and does this price seem reasonable? The boat is a new 17' Aluminium, used motor and a new trailer... Your thoughts? I just want to be sure I am not getting hosed. Thanks! Gerritt.

I hate to be the devils advocate here... but in most cases slowing down will create more of a wake then just continuing at your current rate of speed... I do agree there there is plenty of water available and noone needs to be buzzed. Gerritt.

Well... I am going to be booking a week in September... I am thinking of hitting Silv'ry moon Lodge on Trout lake... Any feedback on this lake and the lodge? Brandon... I too have driven by it... it is on 11 south if I remember correctly... it offers camping and cabins... I am looking too take my 2 year old son camping for the first time :thumbsup_anim: I did not want to venture to far from home this is a primer for him... as I had planned to take him to Ivanhoe PP.... but decided against it... He reacted odd staying in a cottage in Nipissing... woke up in a strange place etc... and I was not about to drag him 13 hours north to find out the same would happen.. and have to leave after 2 days (or get thrown out) due to complaints... My son is a great kid and loves the outdoors! but.. in the middle of the night he can be a handful and can be hard to calm down once he gets going... Dont get me wrong, He is adorable and everyone thinks what a great kid he is.. but he can be stubborn as well!! The reason for this trip is to see how he handles the tent etc... before we plan more prolonged trips... the fishing is just a bonus and god knows He loves to fish! Gerritt.

Well I could not book this weekend at Bass or Six Mile PP's.... Seems I forgot it is a long weekend!! Argh.... dang I feel slow! LOL... After numerous phone calls I found a place with a site left... Camp Hillbilly... Has anyone been here? It is about 20 minutes north of Orillia.. What can I expect to catch there? How was the fishing in General? I am assuming panfish and SMB?? Thanks again guys! The boat is everything I thought it would be and more! Extremely well built, and more then durable enough. She is also alot wider then the pictures show... and she scoots along nicely as well Bernie and I added a remote T/T switch and made a few adjustments to the trim tab on the motor... she handles the water very nicely... Now to rig the rest of her up and add a floor... I will be sure to post pictures on I have everything completed (lights, Bowmount etc...) Thanks for asking! PS... Has anyone been to these parks or fished they're lakes? The wife and I are thinking about planning a camping trip... I am interested in them as they are relatively close to home and have boat launches and docking facilities.... What species can I expect in these lakes? How was the fishing? Which Park in your opinion is the better choice? Thanks in advance! Gerritt.
