  1. Meegs posted somewhere that he was still breaking through in one shot with the spud bar only halfway up the Oro lines.... I went out for perch yesterday...left my laker box at home so I wouldn't be tempted to go checking the ice over any of the deep water
  2. OOOoohhhh....that is some SERIOUS depression right there...I hope it doesn't come to that I'm thinking that after this warm spell is up...the winds will die down and the big lake should tighten up nicely. I know that people are on Muskoka...??? Or there's that shallow bay on Rosseau off the Brackenrig road...maybe that's firmed up enough?
  3. Unbelievable!!! The Million Dollar LLoyd...talk about the high price of fame
  4. Welcome aboard, Big Fisher. I would be careful on any lake you head out to right now...although lots of small ones seem to be getting better and better. You're PROBABLY safe to walk on most of the "small lakes"...but be smart.
  5. So far, I'm lookin' at Friday...will drop you a line if plans hold together. D'oh!!! You SURE you don't wanna go Friday too? Would be great to fish with you again
  6. Some seriously impressive stuff on the 'Shant. Those guys really blow me away!
  7. Great report Ron...thanks for sharing what works for you
  8. Hooo doggie! I still haven't dropped a line for lakers....YET. Can't wait...thanks for the vicarious satisfaction
  9. I know...hope you know I was just funnin' ya...I spend as much time in the office as you guys do on the water...sometimes the jealousy takes over my keyboard
  10. I DO have a question Hodgey....how come you don't catch as many big fish as Jeff_C does? j/k
  11. dang...can't open it from here at work...c'est dommage. I'll have to check it out at home.
  12. Good stuff! Nice to hear the loyalty story The blue has been very popular here at the dealership...lots of folks have had to settle for other colours.
  13. beautiful! I still prefer Gorilla tape...but in case of emergency, the grey stuff'll do too
  14. Go hard or go home!
  15. I was on 3 Mile Lake near Utterson and it had about 6 inches of ice...not the clearest stuff, but sleds and atv's were crossing the lake. With this cold weather, I'd bet your typical "small lake" has between 6 and 10 by the end of this week...hard to say though with all the snow cover.
  16. Well at least you got out...hopefully this cold snap does the trick!
  17. Temps dropped pretty good for the weekend...I wonder if that had anything to do with it. I was out in Muskoka on NYE and early NYD while it was still only -7. Mind you...I didn't do much better than a couple perch So there goes my "musta been the weather" excuse!
  18. In about 5 or 6 months, you can lunch your kayak and have yourself a wonderful day. Lots of perch, pike and bass in there. (Check fishing regs to make sure you're in season!)
  19. Woohoo!! nicely done
  20. Nicely done...thanks for making OFC a little classier
  21. I don't think there are any bungalows on BOQ anyway, as the ice isn't usually consistent enough for them....and if money is no object, I'd definitely go with a guide. Without one, you could end up sitting in one spot wasting most of the day. Just my $0,02
  22. I was afraid of that....just checked the reports and it's nothin' but wind. Is there much concern that they'll start to break up the ice in Cook's, or should we be okay there this week?
  23. OKay...good points with the sweating and what not. Me not having a sled never thought of that.
