  1. Shoot....if I knew Limey was a captain, I would've signed up...only if I could be one of his hookers though Should've paid more attention to those tourney threads. Very nice work on the fish sir....next time maybe you won't hesitate so long when you have a chance to leave work so early
  2. First I heard $300 --- now they're up to $350? Doesn't matter the cost, they should have been returned on the spot. I heard on the Barrie radio station this morning that 2 out of 10 have been returned. These other guys are truly making all fishermen look bad....even if you could argue on their behalf about being on the ice that day in the first place. Just curious....have any of these guys that were rescued popped up on the board? I know there was some great footage on here from people on the shore side of the ice....but have we heard from or does our commnuity know anyone who was rescued that day?
  3. Ummmmm....no thanks! The people pushing this stuff say "you should be allowed to control your technology, and make it work for you" yet they don't see that it's completely dominating your life.
  4. LOL @ "mom and poop place" Only thing I know about Sparrow lake is that after having fished it once, I vowed never to complain about boat traffic on the lakes in Muskoka. SUPER busy...but that was mid-summer. Sorry...I can't comment on the lodge as I have no first, second or even third-hand experience.
  5. All you need to know is where the depth changes, where any humps are, so if it tells you the depth and is easy to use, for $36 I'd say go for it.
  6. As the man in black says, "I'd be gone like a wild goose in winter" GIT!!!!
  7. This thread alone just made up for countless locked ones
  8. Did a bit of research 3 years ago, decided that the Garmins gpsmaps67 series were the ones for me, and picked up a used 67csx off Craigslist for a great price. Even now that they are being replaced by newer models, I still see them for sale at the same price I paid, or higher That aside, it is a fantastic little unit, I have the topomaps and some lake charts for it, really love it. Definitely would give my vote to anything in their lineup. Finds satellites quickly, screen is easy to read, and has a lot of great functions.
  9. What I really like is that you're a straight shooter and don't mince words....nothing flowery or overly verbose...just the facts and the fish Thanks for the great read....got my laker drool flowin....
  10. I would love a Core...simply because I like the feel of it in my hand compared to the Curado. As of yet, I haven't been able to justify the price. REcently just traded a float combo that I rarely use for a mint condition 201E7 Curado. It'll do. I guess.
  11. Yeah you are a natural sailor for sure
  12. Yeah but now you can learn all the sailing jargon to shout commands at him.
  13. Might have looked like you were trying to promote another site, or sell something directly through that site. Any time something like that happens, shoot a message to the mods....they're great. If they don't answer, chances are you didn't want to hear the answer anyway It's one of the ways they're efficient, too.
  14. Not a paddle on the side...it's more like a yoke that hangs over the canoe, with blades like that on both sides. I HAVE THAT SAIL!! Somehow, the rest of the kit got misplaced or disappeared....I blame my dad on one of his cleaning binges. Well, I don't BLAME him....but I hold him responsible. Any how....I'm 99% sure that I have the sail, so if you want it, I'd be happy to work something out. Trade for gear, beer, the locations of certain back lakes.... Fire me a PM if I can help
  15. Awesome stuff! I could sit there all week and watch it go
  16. And his cut bait is great! If the fish aren't biting....pickled sucker sandwiches
  17. Yep, NPS is good...just added a few of you OFC'ers to my list of follows.... @the_1st_johnnyb
  18. Terry, not that you need any more support in your well constructed argument, but, if they use all these chemicals to kill the weeds, why are people swimming there? I stand by your post as well LOL
  19. Not sure how far you are from the Deseronto Launch, but I have seen some good sized pike caught right off the dock there....somewhat shallow and they should be in there warming up on the sunny days. Pretty easy to find....go to Deseronto and head for the lake.
  20. You look slab-happy in that pic...well done
  21. Great work, G-Man...that's a fish to be proud of!
  22. Total scam....super common. Do not proceed!! I have found that a short reply informing them that I don't deal with scammers and have reported their activity to the proper authorities usually scares them off. And for sure you can report them to PayPal.
  23. Happy belated, Wayne! Hope you had a fantastic weekend, adn a great year ahead
