  2. I just de-rigged my blown Yamaha as was wondering what I should do to the transom holes as they are going to be open for a couple months. I was thinking that i should fill them with epoxy and/or drill them larger and put in pvc bushings. Any advice???

  6. Dosen't it concern you that the award will be handed out on April fools day???? Congrads all the same. Now for my daughter, she is holding down two full time jobs, owned a house at the tender age of 18, is currently a landlord, and will be getting married this Oct and has asked me to make her wedding bouquet. I have trouble going through doorways sometimes, my head is so swelled with pride. Her next youngest sister is also workinf a full time job and going to school full time studying in the medical field, and is in the top 10% of her class. On top of all that she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. (And that is not a Dad talking, she is stunning)
  7. Oh I agree! My brother in law used to fly one in Timmins. Fire watch when he was just starting out. He is now 300 hours from being captain of a Lear. All of his prior hours are an a single engine. And that is fece's loads of hours in very adverse conditions.
  8. Thanks guys! I needed this info for a negotiation.....

  10. 150 optimax on a ranger
  11. What should it cost to have a motor rigged, (installed) on a boat? Gauges and controls as well. All parts supplied, just the labour portion.
  12. Or bigger......
  13. Heck, cover the fish finder with plastic and shoot some "Great Stuff" in the box. It will mould to the the Fish Finder perfectly.
  14. Question 1 - to do interlock yourself is not difficult, it is much like doing a puzzle, but all the peices fit. If ypu are going to go with ashphalt, I would suggest that a REPUTABLE contractor will do a better job than you can. They have the right equipment. Question 2 A- depth of excavation for a driveway should be 14 - 16" granular to be layered ---- 6" rip-rap 2 -3 " size, 4" type "A" , 2" of screenings or sharp concrete sand for a setting bed. (I prefer screenings because ants do not like to nest in it as much as sand.) Question 2 B - provided the sub-grade has gone through 2 freeze - thaw cycles (2 winters) and is undisturbed by the excavation it should be able to support the granular base. Prior to infilling wih granular I would suggest the the sub grade is compacted. As the infill is beng done the granular should be compacted in 4" lifts. Question 2 C - You should be aware that interlock is back-breaking work and done right will last a lifetime. Good luck with the project!
  15. The difference Rob, is, you have the training and experience to go backwoods and handle it. Looks like a great lake to fish or spend time at!
  16. So.....how do you know????? Someone HAD to ask.
  17. And I am happy to correct any mistakes that G. makes.....
  18. +1 on another leaf in your springs. I had it done to my e150 van for about 150 bucks.
  19. Congrads! So are ya gonna' need a van?
  20. Except for me, yes do use cement board, but tape the corners and joints, with fiberglass tape and Durabond. The joints only need one coat and the return on wall strength is incredible.
  21. Keep it up TJ you're doin' good \
  22. For not posting. Now back away from the keyboard, nice and slowwwww, that's it, find the couch, ask Monique for a beer, and, WATCH THE GAME!
  23. When I took it apart the retaining ring was very loose, so I am thinking the seal was leaking due to improper assembly. The shaft is going to be checked out very carefully and replaced if necessary. The power head is going to be re-built, unless I can repower at a reasonable cost. This project has gone beyond funny and now is a matter of pride and stubborness. I am now married to this boat. Fortunately the repairs are not as overwhelming as I first thought, just time consuming. When it is done I will post some pics, but for now it will remain a private project.
  24. I suppose eveyone who is denigrating the shot(s) that she missed would have made them themselves....
  25. Chuck Norris can make a traffic signal change just by looking at it.
