  1. muskies and buckets and wallys makes the kawarthas a great place to start , i live on sturgeon and do alright for these species the whole year, as welll as an ofsc and ofatv trail stright across the lake keeps me amused in the winter, they do tend to get busy on weekends but i live 8 doors down from the marins and it never really gets nuts other than right in the channel, also i am a short 30 min to 1.5 hr trip by trailer to some great bass and trout lakes in haliburton country which make for good day trips
  2. Really what kind of fishing do you like doing do you like socializing with your neigbours or do you like privacy, any health problems that may require a quick trip to the hospital . Will you want winter access to your cottage and do you atv, snowmobile

  5. the gap has really narrowed beween domestics and offshore manufacturing these days in the last 5 years there has been a noticeable increase in quality in gm cars. Iknow and work in this industry as well, the jap cars biggest problems seem to be power windows, brake longevity and transmission troubles (honda toyota nissan mazda)as well as higher maintenance costs. the gm cars seem pretty solid with the exception of the odd crapcan same for ford, i am not a fan of chrysler but the are getting better as well(other than the mini-van) No matter what you buy it is always a gamble there is good and bad, my parents have 2 equinox's no troubles happy with them, sister has saturns great car till 200k then started to have some minor probs, i have a hyundai (2003 tiburon) with 308k and no real problems to speak of.
  6. if you like the tahoe stick with it a v-8 toyota or nissan real world conditions they are worse on fuel than the gm 5.3 l v-8
  7. well i have been using sealines for about 5 years the 27 has never had a problem todate and the 17 i just picked up.
