Happy B-day Cliff, stop by soon for that frosty beverage
-
no probs the offer there though.. bps has the signature series combos, planer board rod and i got mine with a sc27 counter reel think it was 169 plus taxes, nice set up well balanced and didn't hurt the pocketbook to much
-
Lew how about's i lend you the two set-ups i have: bps signature series with a sealine 27 and a tournament twist with a sealine 47 both loaded with trilene that i use with the trolling bible (can even lend you the trolling bible for the weekend) then you can decide witch way to spend your money

I don't need a floater suit on my sled i don't go out on ice until the local clubs start staking the lakes. As to the sled yes it's over 10k and my big dollar yammi suit is made for all day riding on a snowmobile. I have a floater suit i use it fishing from october to may but only when fishing, it is way to bulky for sled use and gets a little drafty at 100km/h . The biggest mistake i see when people get onto the bad ice on a sled is trying to turn out of if or slowing down, i can tell you from personal expeirence playing a game called puddle jumping stay straight and keep it to the bar you should be fine.

Looking for a tow bar for a snowmobile.. "
ecmilley replied to northwood's topic in General Discussion
royal distributing as mentioned, could also try your local yamaha dealer won't be as bad as you think for a tow bar made for your sled -
To all my friends here at OFC have a safe x-mas and may all your wishes come true
-
guess it depends on the insurance company and the sled your running, the old beater sled i had a 440 ss yamaha was around 200 bones a year and my 998cc apex is 395 full coverage a year. If you have a valid permit you can get the beleivers plus insurance as well thats supposed to save you a bundle if you have a good driving record.

Anytime Cliff, and if you need any help you know where you can find me, and you cab expect a blue snowmobile anytime now coming down the street
-
I know what you have gone through, so try taking it in for a modificaton, putting in a couple quick access flaps should be easy enouh for a seamstress without affecting the suits buoyoncy
-
the instructions on the iside of my buoy-o-buoy mention testing it for flotation once a year wearing it in to the water

Cigarette Smoking . . . . . . (Definately N. F.)
ecmilley replied to Photoz's topic in General Discussion
lol yeah I'll clarify, the amount i was spending on cigs was equal to the payment on the snowmobile, though i have been off for 2 years, after 4 years i would have saved enough for the sled -
excelant report wayne, looks like you had some numbers anyway to keep ya busy

Cigarette Smoking . . . . . . (Definately N. F.)
ecmilley replied to Photoz's topic in General Discussion
I quit smoking almost 2 years ago, most of my family and friends still smoke and Its only annnoying when they light up in the truck (ya you know who you are) to each ther own I say, common sense would dictate smoking with the kids in the car, not just for there health but the smell eewww. Should it be made law? thats a tough one abd a tougher one to enforce, but with the goverments addiction to taxes even worse than my former addiction to nicotine you'll never see the world's most dangerous legal consumer product outlawed. On the brighter side this is what not smoking fot 47 months paid for (it's almosr paid for). -
changed up most of my crankbait trbles to ultra-point ot triple grip ultra-point don't lose to many now, great hooks would reccommend them to anyone. stradic reel can't go wrong, tried a compre 7ft rod with the stradic am very impressed with this rod in the $120 range. 9.9hp four stroke merc for the small boat, i love it can run around sturgeon lake for 2 days on 10 bux of fuel smooth and easy starting but it's a heavy engine. salty rod holders and scotty rod holder both work great can't decide the better. edit if i think of anything else

How was your year fishing the Kawarthas?
ecmilley replied to ccmtcanada's topic in General Discussion
I had a good year on the kawarthas, more so that I live there and can fish on any day I choose, if it's a bad day not like i gotta fish can just walk back into the house and watch tv or something instead of toughing it out after driving there -
no rick the speed sensor isn't really affected it's in the back of the trans and if it was the cause of issues it would also effect the speedo, odo, transmission shift points and it would illuminate the check engine light

2005 is an electronic unit lew, and will not work, if say you brake lights are on from a shorted harness or loose bulb, at least this is the simplest and easiest fix

well i have both Cliff, the one piece is warmer but it is a bit bulky, and does limit your mobility a bit it is only better for a fall through the ice if all your saftey straps (arms, waist legs) are cinched up. my 2 piece doesn;t have a hood but I am usually riding with a helmet I don't get cold in either, good boots, gloves and misty mountain underwear go a long way to keeping you warm, My biggest problem with the one peice suits (at least the buoy o buoy ) was trying to take a leak you near had to strip the suit right off it has a big wind flap positioned in the bottom of the zipper, but it also has a hood for those windy days, cvan't really go wrong with either suit, it'll save your life when it has too
