  1. not to bad of a sled, one word no one mentioned id the brp engines use isoflex grease in the crank bearings, needs to be repacked every 5000miles witch for the most part involves removing the motor and stripping it down. check belt and clutches track for tear offs, and the rev chassis could eat ball joints get the sled off the ground and check the a arms for slop
  2. check the temp sensor in the cylinder head, thinks it the brown wire just unplug it and try again
  3. undo t stat housing make sure not jammed with debris
  4. continious tone at low speed is usually overheating which is possible if your hose is restricted or bad water pump impeller, the fuel restriction is usually at wot

  6. thats gonna be a great fishing work sled and it'll be decent trail riding too. just read up on the locking articulating suspension to get the most out of it and with the sub transmission you could tow a house

  9. agree and have proven it time and again in my boat truck sled that 100% gasoline regardless of the octane will always get better fuel mileage and power
  10. yes hp will power through slush, don't be worried about the bit of extra weight from the 4-tech it is a bomb proof engine easily outlast the chassis while the e-tech is the top of line 2 stoke it is still a 2 stroke and engine life can be a concern, double check the stats as well think the e tech requires premium fuel

  12. it sure can be tough in the fall, once you find them it can be non-stop but overall pretty tough for eyes in the kawartha's as for the ski's my best fall days of 4 to 6 fish were trolling walleye speeds on edges 1. 1.5mph never caught a ski doing the fast troll in colder water in my lake yet
  13. when i was doing the river thing i used pro cure in its different colours and it produced fish (just wear gloves bright pink hands for two weeks first time i used it) or i used borax to preserve. though for the most part i started water hardning the eggs and zero preservitive and froze it in single day size containers

  20. the skinny stance is fine if your into some back country boondocking, there that skinny so it's easy to lay on its side but not most stable ride, if your breaking trail in the backcountry and there is lots and lots of base this is what there made for. lots of choices out there for utility sleds. i am a yamaha fan but a rs viking is a 700+lb beast with a 151x20 track that will go anywhere but around 15k, both skidoo and polaris have some decent priced utilitys in low to med power ranges

  23. 43 inches is not skinny, as for tippy many of the modern rider foward designs may appear tippy because you are sitting higher and with sleds built the last 15 years for the most part actually have suspension travel (i remember my 433gpx with a whopping 3 inches of travel if that)they handle better ride better, skandics or tundras are made for bushwhacking ice fishing running trap lines ect and are about the lightest of the utility sleds available it's a good choice enjoy it
  24. well i can start my 1000cc yammy 4 cyl 4 stroke off the primary with a small flat belt no problem if i have to can't see it being much of a problem with a 600cc 2 cyl
  25. stick to the 4 stroke it'll outlast the chassis, when it comes to there 2 stroke BRP means Bring Rods and Pistons
