Take it to a qualified mechanic!

I fish with 3 rods (perfectly legal here in Alabama) and don't get tangled nor do I lose them because I put them in a rod holder. ... and why don't the guys fishing the great lakes have tangles and lose rods?
-
They were probably Americans. ... just thought I'd throw that out there before someone else did.

Did you hear that??? There it goes again!!! I think I hear a box of Twinkies calling you! -
I actually love it!!! When I come back from a day of fishin' and Ol' Yeller asks me if I caught anything, I put my fish grabbing hand over her mouth and nose and say "Smell"!... she usually comes out swinging after that, but I'll take a straight right hand and a left hook just to see the expression on her face!!!

You may be a Redneck if... you've ever been too drunk to fish!!!
-
I like you're glandular signature!!!

Reminds me of an incident I witnessed back ijn the early 80's. I was working a job down in Naples Florida and went fishin' with a couple guys from work on Friday night. Fred was an older guy and Bill was about my age, Fred loved the artificial lures and was a devout fisherman! Bill wasn't much of a fisherman but went along for kicks. I was fishing live Peeler crabs for Sail cats and Bone fish and Fred and Bill were chucking Rapalas for Snook! Fred and Bill are fishing pretty close together and shooting the breeze and I'm fishing about 20' away from them to avoid tangles. Bill decides he wants to try a different spot and walks behind Fred as he is in the middle of a backcast! Freds Rapala sinks into Bills head right behind the right ear, Fred thinking he's snagged on a bush starts reefing on his rod to free the lure... Bill starts screaming "quit yanking Fred ya got me"!!! I'm rolling on the ground about to piss my pants in hysterical laughter!!! Fred finally realizes what happened and gets a sheepish grin on his face and says "looks like I got the big one of the night"! We take poor old Bill up to the truck and shine the headlights on his head and both trebles are stuck in his scalp but have been pulled all the way through with all of Freds snatching trying to free the lure from the "bush". I'm about to ut the barbs off when Fred hollers "wait a minute!.. what are you doing??? You're going to ruin my lure"!!! Bill says "I'll buy you a new damn lure, just get this thing outta my head!!!" I have laughed about that every time I think about it!!! I'm glad your ordeal turned out ok WD... but let this be a lesson to you, always carry a pair of pliers capable of cutting a hook!

Heck yeah!!! ... down here in the South the call me Sir!

Yeah, I knew that would get you going! We do have something in common though, I don't pay people to bark at me... I get paid to bark at people! If you want me to reel in that damn fish, you ask me to reel it in... and you ask me nicely!
-
... the heck you say??!
-
Let's face it, guided trips count for little next to nothing!!!... all you're doing is reeling in the guides fish for him!!! Guides are prima donnas, they won't reel in fish, they won't clean weeds off the hook... all they wanna do is drive the dang boat!!!... HELL!, I can do THAT!!!! If it was me, I'd ask they pay me 100$ to take the trip!!!

Ha!!! what do you know?... you can't even tell the difference between a Groundhog and a Woodchuck!

It is a very good report!!!... and I hope Ben wasn't offended by my earlier reply.... I was just stating my experience! It has also been my experience that "full spool" flouro like Vanish isn't nearly as durable as the "leader" grade flouro! My favorite leader grade flouro is Suffix! It isn't nearly as soft and pliable as the "full spool" flouro, but is extremely durable!!! I use 175 lb. test on a 100 lb. test main line for fishing Grouper in the rock beds of the Gulf of Mexico! If you're going to use flouro for a leader only, buy the leader grade flouro!!! ... another thing!... before I drop any of my lines in the water I give the "drag" test. I insert the hook into an immovable object like a picnic table, truck bumper, or the "eye" hook on my boat for the bimini top... I then "load" the rod for the weakest link, be it the leader, hook, or the rod itself... when the weakest link has the max load it I think it can handle, I set the drag to slip at that popint I then reel back down and check it again to make sure the drag slips at the desired load... try it sometime, you'll be surprised at the size of fish you can land on light line with the proper drag setting!!!
-
That's right!... if you have the proper submersible sealed unit tail lights, you don't have to unplug before launching! I think some folks may "cheap out" and just buy the regular unsealed trailer lights... and that's where the "unplug" comes from!

Down here in the South we call that seasoning when it's on the cookware and Potpourri when it's elsewhere!
