Dammit man!!! I hate when that happens!! .. hate it worse tha a 'possum hates an axe handle!!! Whenever I break a favorite rod, I have to disarm myself and throw my pocket knife into the water to keep from slitting my own throat!!! The only thing you can do is write it of as a sacrifice to the fishing gods, and find solace in the fact that they may smile on you in the near future! ... lemme guess!... the big one got away?!!!

I agree with those that say slow presentation! The topwater bite pretty much dies when the surface temp hits 65*F and less! Texas and Carolina rigged plastic worms and lizards, slow rolled spinner baits, senkos worked real slow, slash/jerk baits with long pauses and live minnows will catch cooling water fish.

It should be interesting to see who takes their camera and does us a nice report! We love the fish porn yanno!!!

Did you learn anything? I noticed you said you'd be keeping your food inside from now on, but you need to be better prepared for a Bear encounter! Setting off fireworks before going to bed will keep them away, a can of Bear spray can be worth a lot, a canned air horn like they use at sporting events works too!... and then there's a 12 gauge with OO buckshot...

Picture this if you can!!!... no closed seasons on freshwater fish, open water 12 months a year!!! ... hunting season is for those that aren't worth a crap at fishing!!! It sux to be y'all eh!

Just go Dude!!!... the fish have the feedbag on NOW!!! You may have to look a little bit to find them... but when you do!!! I can't decide which is better, fall or spring!??? It may help with the tips a bit if we knew what your desired target is???
