  1. K-max....havent been into Lingham in ages but was told the big fish are not there anymore. There was problems with the dam years ago and since then it has turned into a numbers lake as opposed to a numbers and size lake.
  2. Did you see the naked cowboy? He is always down there. The first time I ever was there I was shocked how much smaller it is in real life then on the TV
  3. Hoping to try to figure out the eastern Erei eyes this year. I never seem to have much luck. Has anyone heard of any Erie reports for eyes yet this year. Willing to share the boat as well if someone could help me out. Have everything needed.
  4. In the summer along the Oakville and Burlington, strong westerlies will push the warmer lighter surface water offshore and it will be replaced by upwelling colder water from the bottom. The lighter warmer water slides on top of the colder water like sheets of ice. When this happens you either punch it 4-10 miles offshore and look for watmer surface water and the bait and salmon that foolowed it or tuck close in especially if it is later in the season and look for some shore hugging kings and browns. With a S.E. wind the opposite will happen and push warm water in that will hit the shallows and start driving deeper. I run the water plant in Oakville and have seen water temps fall from as hi as 24 degrees to 7 in less than 6 hours with a huge summer cold front. It is almost like a fall turnover but only the shoreline is affected not the entire lake. Check this sight out each day, the satellite usually passes over around 4-5 am and new data is posted by 11am. It will give you a heads up on surface temps http://www.coastwatch.msu.edu/ontario/o1.html
  5. In neither rich country Canada or the USA should anyone not be able to see a doctor. Both countries are PLENTY rich enough to have health care for all there citizens. I sure hope in the future both countries fix the person before worrying about the bill!
  6. Hastings county is my old stomping ground, best county in the country for bass fishing. Try Gin and Mayo, Steenburg, Limerick, Lingham, Skootamatta., its endless!!
  7. Heading to Nipigon on the 22nd and coming back on the 1st. Team 7 is going to have a few nice entries ;-)
  8. The time is almost here. Heading out early in the morning for a week at Lake Biscotatsi fishing for eyes and pike, then it is off to Lake Nipigon in prusuit of giant Specks, Lakers and Pike. Ill take lots of pictures and will hopefully have agreat few posts when I return! Darren

  11. Met robert last night. Great guy, wish i had that much energy and drive. i was tired after just talkking to him!!!
  12. The suspense is killing me....please pick me!!!!!!
  13. Start with a 3 way and spinner rig and gulp minnow worm. 2 ounce Northland 3 way. Fish it in 15-20 feet of water, the gulp stays together thru perch attacks. Once you locate some fish drop a marker and drift back with a jig and worm aor a jig and minnow and work the area hard. Cover water and key in on the fish you find, don't leave fish to find fish Darren
  14. Rainbow smolts...great sign for the river!
  15. No bananas in the boat. Always split your first coffee with the fish to wake them....my daughters theory.
  16. Wow thats a new one for me too! Think its time they simplified the laws, when expierenced anglers don't know you have a problem
  17. in Burlington we had winds that had to be at least 120kph at my house. I havnt seen winds like that in years. Checked Environment Canada and they say the winds only went o 54kph. Must have been in a micro downburst.
  18. Nice stuff Brian trying to hook up with Brian on wednesday and head out to Nipigon and give him some great photos for the website.
  19. Stoty...brilliant observation
  20. A triploid is a stocked fish that has been shocked with warm water sometime during the development period. This causes the fish to become sterile and devote all its energy into growth and not into reproduction. Landing this fish is a huge accomplishment but it still is an artificial "engineered" fish and really should not count as a record. If you force fed a fish in an aquarium would they count that. I really think the record books should address this.
  21. Any Fan of a canadian team can make fun of the Sens but Leaf fans. Hey they were in the final as was Edmonton and Calgary! At least these organizations are trying to win Leaf fans really should have no opinion on any other canadian team, that at least tries to ice a competetive team, instead of signing old has beens and claim they are trying. Our old family friend ( RIP ) was the leafs head scout till the early 70's , he at least had talent and tried. This group is a disgrace to sports!
  22. Another escapee triploid I assume by the looks of it. Looks like a carbon copy of the one that was caught in Ontario 2 years ago. the fat Albert of trout. Are triploids elidgable for record standings?
  23. Alfie isnt good enough as a captain because he doesnt lead and is european???????? Kinda of reminds me of a number 13 in Toronto who hasnt cut to the inside in 10 years! Either way any hockey fan that knows his a@@ from a hole in the ground knows the best player on either team out there is Mike Fischer. Give me 10 Fischers and I would never lose a game! Go Sens because there from Canada and go Mike Fischer because he is an awesome player!
  24. Thanks for info guys...I can't wait...sounds like a reward of gullible fish! We will be staying right near Bisco but fishing the south end as a co worker has a property down at that end of the lake. Darren
  25. Myself and the boys are heading up to Lake Biscotasi in a week and we were wondering if anyone had any expeirince on the lake before. Apparently it is a very tannic stained lake which keeps the eyes shallower. Other then that does anyone have any pointers they can throw us. Thanks darren
