  1. Everyone should be with their noses to the grindstone at work inside, not monkeying around outside at that time of day, save for those on shift work or days off.
  2. Somehow those two comments are an oxymoron. Cardinal rule, keep both hands on the bar. The microsecond a bee or junebug smashes you in the face your body reaction will most likely send you into the rhubarb.
  3. Love the metric system for its simplicity, everything works by multiplying or dividing by 10's. Wouldn't it be nice to have a metric clock..
  4. Yech, haven't drank that brand in years.
  5. Well you might get a bit uncomfortable pulling a (RvW) Rip van Winkle waiting that long. They were contemplating the Cummins 5.0 but they too fell asleep and Nissan grabbed them. Not all that great for mileage either. Read a bit about some of the Yota diesels, some good, and some were total junk, at least by owners comments.
  6. Yes and a number of others that have them are right about there too. Maybe do a check on duramax problems before you jump. As far as I know, RAM is now selling the EcoDiesels again.
  7. Believe what you want or not, I've used just over 2400 litres of fuel for over 25000km and the tank is full so you may as well add another 12-1300km and figure it out. I've got it logged in a book and no cheating. I don't go by the truck calculator (lie-o-meter)
  8. I've kept a log book from day one. For a total of just over 25,000km the total average is 9.7l/km (30mpg) Worst in winter was 11.8l/100km(24 mpg) towing cargo trailer with atv and fishing gear. Best is 7.3l/100km (38.6 mpg). If I go on a longer highway trip, I can get that down to 7.1 holding at around 110km/h.
  9. One of the problems with Toyota is their lousy fuel consumption, I'm using less than half of that and even towing boat, cargo trailer or 22 foot travel trailer I'm doing better than their lowest usage.
  10. Thanks but not all the way current on some, Yamaha only goes to 2003.
  11. Maybe look at the 3 wheelers, more stable on road and when you have a passenger less chance of tilting when you're not expecting it and how to react.
  12. Look out for sore ribs after the first day of paddling. It's sort of akin to curling, first time and you didn't know you had muscles in some places.
  13. I tried Flickr and seems to work fine for me.
  14. The claws on that would make a lot of women with fake fingernails blush, lol.
  15. Looks like it's got a fix on something that's about to become food.
  16. Thanks. things ya make in the dead of winter.
  17. I've got mine down to 7.1l/100km a couple times now.
  18. Made this Coconut Wren house in 2003 and it's been in use ever since. Usually 2 -3 broods per year of 3-4 little ones, I figure about 100+ wrens have been born in there. Finally sat down yesterday wit the tripod and camera and took a few photos. It's amazing the amount of insects they consume.
  19. Ha, had an old Motorola bagphone, when everyone was crying no signal, I had 100% coverage.
  20. Funny how bottom feeders don't taste like what they eat, lobsters and crabs would taste like .....
  21. You could always try pickling them, that makes the bones disappear.
  22. Funny how one guy moans about someone catching and eating a musky, legally and it's not locked down but moan about a certain type of vessel and there's a nuclear meltdown.
