  1. Good one, but I suppose you're running around with a heavy duty UNUSED Musky rod now
  2. If I had to listen to that, I'd give up fishing.
  3. For cleanliness and customer service,(actually having some staff around when you need help), Lowes by a long shot, HD is getting to be more help yourself and good luck finding it. Rona is not bad, all three are resonably close for price. I have my own truck so delivery isn't a problem.
  4. 87% average, pat yourself on the back, as you can see the effort pays off in the long run, keep it up.
  5. I called their 1-800 number, bought direct from the factory in the US and paid the shipping rather than to buy from the dealers in Northern Ontario who were a bid more than greedy. There is one place somewhere around Toronto, another distribution center, however I could never connect with them on the phone.
  6. I have the Medium Ice Cabin, 2 person, only I didn't get the bench seat or 2 swivel singles, I'm going to make something for this winter instead of folding beach chairs. The sled is made of thick poly, hardly any flex, the top material is pretty thick too, sewn in attachment goes all the way around and simply snaps on, no screwing needed, the superstructure is made of square poles, they expand and collapse without problems. I see the info sheet says 90lbs, maybe a mistake or I'm getting stronger(highly doubt it). Get the extra runners, they take up a lot of road wear, got mine at BPS for about $35, they should last 2-3 winters. I made my own tow bar, I have my MIG for that. So far, no complaints compared to that Pile of Bovine Excrement from Frabil the year before. It's long enough to accomodate the Jiffy auger. Unless you have someone with seamstress qualifications, maybe get the custom cover too, keeps your kit in and snowbanks out.
  7. Oh the great mentality of beating up and wrecking inanimate objects that can't defend themselves from a no mind. Keep your critters on a leash when the situation demands it, maybe some people too. There are rules, all ya have to do is read and heed.
  8. Gotta keep up with the Jones I used my old X-40 for many years on ice, the Showdown (Aqua vu) just takes up less space.
  9. Looks like I have the short version, tracks and soft top are in the garage.
  10. You do have a valid point with the cheap reels, we all go to the store and try them out in the store at +20C and when we go to use them at -10, the inner workings are stiffer than molasses. Open up the reel and replace the grease with some NLGI #1 or #0 grease, much smoother. Then the next is the drag, works good in the store, throw the reel in the freezer for an hour and see the difference.
  11. What Shore Lunch said, sometimes the bells and whistles are ringing for you to pay attention and run. Looks good, but when the cooktop gets to 175 degrees when the upper oven is on can't be good or safe.
  12. If I ever trap the Pink Bunny, I'm sending him on a mission, play drumsticks on TJ while he's running around the woods doing a torture test on BPS socks.
  13. If you're dancing up a storm, just keep it up, the less I have to shovel the happier my back is.
  14. It can be brutally slow at times and still the damm double click to back up that only seems to be on this site, even with the "good" computer at work.
  15. Looks like ya had a nice trip, good weather and some nice fish.
  16. Sobeys has them in the frozen fish section
  17. 23:59 15 Nov 09, midnight tonight.
  18. Maybe a fuse blown or pinched some wires when parts got too close together.
  19. She may last a few days or more, if any longer then winter will undoubtedly deal her the blow and she will become crow and coyote food. Where I work out in the Borden Ranges I would sure like to know deer reasoning for crossing the road when they are perfectly safe where they are in the first place, but NOoooo, they just have to run across the road every time they see ya coming. Stop 3 feet off the road, look over their shoulder and don't move again.
  20. Did she slap it or kick it ..As long as she's all right, that's what counts, a wrinkle in the sheetmetal is like a pimple on your ass,
  21. I used a program called Audacity, it's still available and free, allows you to to edit, get rid of noise, etc. I used my stereo cassette deck directly to the computer. Use a cable with red and white RCA plugs on one end, the other has a 1/8th" mini stereo male plug, from the cassette "line out" to the computer "line in". On your sound card at the back of the computer there will be 3 mini jacks, microphone, line in and line out. (pink, green and blue plastic rings) around the jacks. open the Adacity program, insert a Cd into the burner, hit record, press play on the cassette and you're off like a herd a turtles, records in real time(slow), I don't think there's any way around it.
  22. Trade ya some smoked rainbow for some jerky...
  23. Just spent a little while putting mine away today after the last quick outing, change oil and filter, new fuel filter, all gas lines drained including the ones from the connector to the carbs, carbs drained, tank & line drained, gas was put into the car. Battery is out and on the little smart charger, only thing left to do is drain the lower unit and refill. Next, jack up the trailer, pull the bearings and regrease them and install new double lip seals. Trailer stays jacked up, no weight on the tires, no flat spots.
  24. Just a suggestion, it's waaaaay past your bedtime and until you get some miserable weather down there, go eat a bowl of dry oatbran and then drink a gallon of water.
  25. Ya he's spending all his time and money at the cheap place and turning into a vegetarian.. Vegetarian...Native equivalent of lousy meat hunter
