  1. Every now and then I'll hit one of the Saturday morning fishing shows, today it was Fish TV for 5 minutes, what the heck is it with the hosts, do they go to a school of making monkey noises or do they come hatched that way? Hoooohoooo, haahaaa ooooohhhhh heeeeeheeee, is there nothing more intelligent to these types. I don't hear those noises on hunt shows or car & truck shows. The only one I can understand is Chronzy..munch munch.. munch, but, he's only filling the cake hole.
  2. Ya might have got something like that about 40 years ago, you can't even get a vacant lot for that around here.
  3. Bah..it's a BRAKE.
  4. Ah okay, didn't think there'd be much water on the surface up there. Learned someting new.
  5. I can fully agree with you for Temagami, but I would imagine that the surface would be frozen with snow banks on the sides, great big long shuffle board. This thing on Simcoe looks more like a 2 foot deep water slide that the vast majority does not encounter. I'm just hoping nobody gets injured.
  6. I'm thinking the weather may well allow the snow cover to compact and make travelling a bit easier.
  7. 2 Feet of water, that guy must be a complete idiot, there's some liability problems there big time if someone gets hurt, heck someone could slip and drown in that.
  8. Two of the most popular are Floyd HALES or Hank HEYINK on the east side of the lake, you should be able to Google them.
  9. You have my vote for anything you run for, including exhalted baker of cardamom cookies. Couldn't have said it better.
  10. You're saying the hut owner is not at fault but in the same sentence you say that the hut owner is required to put out bells and whistles to have sleeders avoid his hut. Maybe the sleeders shouldn't over drive their headlights (speed/reaction time) and it would most likely solve the problem for both sides. Why do others alway s have to change things to accomodate the ones that cause the problem.
  11. Corner of 89 and 11, opens at 6am. Then keep driving up 11 to Innisfill Bch Rd, turn right and keep going until you hit the park.
  12. I'd be a little leary of Brians offer, he just might "flasher her"
  13. They did last year, can't see why they wouldn't this year. That would really make for sour cherries.
  14. Yes it's within walking distance, within 1/2 km you can be in 70-80 FOW, the snow will be beate down by snowmobile travel in the area. You can fish for the perch in a bit closer and whites a little further out.
  15. Ditto x2 on the above, an all season fish finder.
  16. A lot of drunks that will suffer a hangover at work tomorrow
  17. Thanks Cudz, it was just snowing about 15 minutes ago, now it has stopped, seems the storm is doing a wrap around.
  18. Cudz, hows the surface? I may bring the ATV tomorrow just for a short run, perc is okay for me. Thanks.
  19. Outside in the fresh air for an hour. As much as you(anyone) may feel in the pits when you're sick, getting out helps. Then back in with a big bowl full of real chicken or turkey soup(not the can crap).
  20. Helicopter on standby, someone mentioned the other day that some of the slush beds are over their boots and got wet to the knees, maybe "they" are just a bit vertically challanged.
  21. Hey, where did you get that Smiley, that's cute.
  22. You forgot one Seafoam really cleans gummy carburaters
  23. I would get hold of Slys' (RIP) lady, DlmATV on the other site, she would know.
  24. Well I'm not dissing his efforts, ya have to go to a Euro shop that has real smoked fish to tell the difference, or go visit someone on the "rock"
  25. Somehow I fail to understand how you can add so much stuff to a marinade and to try and smoke a fish and still get it to take like something that came out of the lake instead of a couple of bottles international flavours. When you brine fish, it's nothing more than the fish and pickling salt (and water, the water can be omitted). Brining serves to kill the bacteria, dry and tighten the meat. Marinade is imparting an old running shoe full of unsavoury flavours.
