  1. I didn't know Garmin & Magellan were the same product.
  2. What Terry said, mines on an adjustable depth rod, get it just below the ice surface to reduce "fake" echos.
  3. Some of the models use a fan on smaller coils under the fridge for cooling, a real pain, we had one, never again. You'll find that a lot of fridges are just re branded depending what store you buy them from. Stick with the Sears models, the seem to have the best warranty. As for LG, I would rather watch a Leafs game or paint dry...
  4. I went out this morning off Gilford, about 8-10 inches of powder snow, stayed 3 hours and there was a "few" more inches of snow that had fallen, no problem getting around on the ATV. Only thing I noticed was the water slowly coming out of the holes, maybe the snow is weighing it down a bit. The ice at the end of Gilford Rd has a little bump, no problem, but, the lemmings showed up today. Why the hell does everyone have to park like they're at W-mart? Put 20-30 feet between vehicles to spread out the weight. Caught a few dinks, checked out the new X67, very east to use and man is it fast. It shows a BB sized splitshot exactly 12 inches above the hook/minnow. Heard from someone else they had caught a nice bunch of good sized perch "out on the lake"
  5. Google VW Amarok, already being built, very unlikely we'll ever see it in North America cause it would put the smaller pick ups at the back of the line, comes with a variety of 4x4 and diesel power. Forgot, the old Rabbit pick up also came with a 1.6 diesel. That other abortion made in the US along with the other variants didn't last long, they closed the plant and had them built elsewhere.
  6. Ha, and you didn't think I'd see that eh? I'd love to see a Cabelas here too.
  7. And where will your hard earned dollar go now..
  8. Go and take a look at the weight differences between the 2 and 4 strokes, you might not want a 2 stroke anymore.
  9. Grandpas and Grandmas only last so long, your day of ice fishing can wait.
  10. Hmm, we had that on the news here about 3 weeks ago already, quality control or lack thereof...again.
  11. Well, got to agree with you on that one, I was going to say, but...better not, along with the fruits there's probably some vegetables and meat that would get upset.
  12. Another horrible moment, condolences to his family and colleagues.
  13. Send in a bunch of P3TA freaks, they'll eat it..
  14. Read the instructions, the only hose you don't need the filter with is the green one from the company, hose length doesn't matter.
  15. Okay so if you don't use the lights, I guess the bulbs will last a long time..
  16. Golden Horseshoe wimps..wawawambulance..suck it up buttercups, it's winter and Canada on the same channel, we still have 2 feet up here we ca lend ya.
  17. Internal carb cleaner has to fed through the fuel line to the inner workings to clean them and release the float needle. Blowing carb cleaner down the throat with expectations of achieving that is like trying an enema from the wrong end.
  18. They work. They are made in Canada. Support our business. 14 years and no issues. (Other than I forgot to plug it in one day, thought it was broke..NOT).
  19. Hang in there Dano, they have to find something to fix you up.
  20. Johnson Plastics in Toronto carries it, or, if someone at one of the local hockey arenas and ask for their used "puck boards", the stuff they line the lower edge of the arena. It cuts very easy with a table saw to whatever length and width you need, warm with a hair dryer to shape it.
  21. Next maintenance item, if you plan on running your Buddy heater on anything other than the 1 lb throw-aways, such as the 5-10lb refill tanks, go to Princess Auto and get the in line propane filter, $11., will save you a major headache later. It stays screwed into the fitting and the extension hose can be unscrewed from it.
  22. You appear to have a classic case of "stuck float needle". That's why it will run on the gas you dump down the spark hole for a few seconds and then quit. Are you mechanically inclined, if no, take blower to the fix it man, if yes, remove the float bowl and float, gently pull down on the needle, replace float and bowl, don't pinch the gasket. Go through regular start up proceedure.
  23. Unfortunately too late now, Clamcorp is having a real mess with their Chinese nuts & bolts, many guys on one of ice fishing boards complain and Clam sends out new "real" stainless nuts & bolts. In addition, keep an eye on any of the stitching on the material, some of them are pretty much falling apart "at the seams".
  24. Another terribly sad moment in life, sorry for your loss.
