  1. my sucess this year was the fact that I have been on certain lakes before and I always try different spots and shorelines all the time. One of the best tips I received was at Tim Horton's at 5:30 in the morning in Midland from a local fisherman , I used his tips and added to it and really enjoyed fishing there this year. This past year I fished with Tbayboy alot and since he likes changing his baits all the time I would wait until he would catch 3 fish in a row and then I would change to the bait he was using hahaha.
  2. awesome fish . must have been quite the experience 3.5" waves, in the dark, probably 25 km winds, and the fish was released to be caught another day.
  3. good review of your year Sean, you sure did catch some nice fish this year. I liked the whitefish and crappie pics as they were fun days on the water.

  6. congrats on the fish, nice pictures also
  7. thanks for taking the picture Erik, the fish was caught casting a rattlin' rap type bait in silver colour. It was definately a tough bite as you could look down and see the fish and they wouldn't bite. There were three boats fishing there and all had a slow day.
  8. if you do a search on old posts you can find some launches on the otonabee, there is one off Michael cr (concrete pad and dock up until thanksgiving) also one on campbelltown rd . If you cast into the shore on the river you should be able to catch a musky there .
  9. back in 1984 I was looking for a 120 i/o and was told to buy a merc instead of the omc they said it was a better drive
  10. great report, you forgot the part about lowering the camera and seeing the bass that wouldn't bite .
  11. I know this is off topic but I just bought some of these. Hopefully after a pike bites it the weld doesn't break , also has wire holding the skirt on . team daiwa spinnerbaits
  12. When I fish alone I will not take the pfd off . Going fishing solo tomorrow on Georgian Bay and will probably wear a floater suit and will not lean over too far to land and release that big musky.
  13. those are some nice perch, I fished Kempenfelt Bay this weekend and only caught smaller perch, congrats.
  14. nice picture with the musky thrashing, that rapala lure sure has caught alot of musky for you. congrats.
  15. I am not much of a walleye fisherman but if I was looking for some info I would look here, good luck on your trip walleye tips from In-fisherman
  16. I think muskies landing is close to the Port Severn locks , there are lots of sheltered areas to fish if it gets windy. I have no idea about the accomodations.
  17. great report Sean, sure was a nice spot with a few smallies, I also caught a 10 " pike that did the self release when I was trying to grab it.
  18. mark's work warehouse sells a nice balaclava that keeps the wind out, also gortex rainwear with the full bibs are nice.
  19. QUOTE'You gotta learn to play the game. FS and BB are the same but have different sales. Each will price match the other and give an additional 10% of the difference. SO.... when you find a sale item in one flyer go to the other store. 1. It will more likely be in stock and 2. It will be cheaper than the sale price.QUOTE' thanks for the tip, great idea to save a few more dollars.
  20. I saw this one in the trader in ohio the other day, it's not a bass boat but it looks like a good deal.it's a 2004, with a 115 optimax for $11k
  21. one recommendation I would make is anything 18 feet or under I would buy a single console, the console takes up alot of room in a dual console 18 footer.
  22. great report with lots of nice fish
  23. hi Rick, send Tbayboy a pm , he had the same problem with the canon freezing and I think they said they would fix it.
