  1. That would likely be me Roy..so I guess the repellent is for me...
  2. I need to buy some 'bear' repellant...perhaps in this area one may encounter a 'bear'. My girlfriend likes to do some solo walks and meditation by the lake and I'd feel better if should could fend off a 'bear'. I found personal sized ones on the Cabela's site but don't know if customs would let it through. Anyone close to Niagara sell it?
  3. I wanted to make a keepsake box as a Christmas gift for my gf. She says if I buy something it would somehow mean less. Yeah..cause she's not the one who will get splinters and wreck alot of trees. Anyway..I need a set of plans for something moderately complex in the keepsake box style. Perhaps a memory box or some other kinda name. Any ides where?
  4. A compression test doesn't fire the cylinder but will vacate the fogging. Just refog the cylinders when done. I have no clue what numbers you should be looking for but just look for all numbers to be similar.
  5. While in Jamaica I had some of that Blue Mountain stuff....just amazing. So hard to find though. It is the best anywhere for sure.
  6. Anglers are always responsible for their hooks...always. Same as hunting..don't shoot if you don't know where it may end up.
  7. Don't they rely on a transducer to judge speed and acceleration? If so would then slush on the transducer then affect it?
  8. Usually tied up with fender benders for those who forgot to slow down...
  9. Here's a picture of the invisible net I bought... .
  10. Sweet! Nice post and help. We got us another really smart member....perhaps the word 'another' was an overstatement. Welcome to the board, Spawn.
  11. I still don't understand. If we go out into the wilderness we become part of the food chain...we are not always on top. People have been killed by bears, moose, deer and other critters many times.
  12. Still got some Canadian money stashed somewhere, Matty?
  13. Theres about 15 of them goose poop machines in my back yard...you're welcome to them.
  14. I was gonna suggest what douG just said. Try droppin a few more pounds and see if it doesn't get better. If you snore you are more likely to get apnea. It also puts a big strain on the heart. If my weight gets over 200 pounds (seriously I once was an FF) I get to snoring and holding my breath.
  15. I've set the ads to be filtered out. How long this takes..I have no idea.
  16. Access to the Admin Control Panel has it's privileges! I guess we'll have to keep an eye on the images/disc space here. Does phootobucket allow big azz pictures?
  17. The Niagara area is popular with people looking south. Still lots of mix of urban and rural and very mild winters. Fishing is quite varied and there is open water year round. Most areas have little crime. Plenty of big deer around too. Oh yeah..my house is for sale
  18. They used angles to make the moose look bigger, but he's still a monster. Not quite as big as PF the FF, but big all the same.
  19. I quickly learned that attempting HDR shots on a windy day is a bad idea. I managed to 'improve' the software my Canon S2 IS runs on and it helped with the histograms and shutter control. I swear I took 50 or more pics before I started getting the hang of it. My only mistake that I can see is I left the Vivid Color option on...not needed when doing these types of pics I can see. Here's two that didn't suck. The one has some focus issues cause I forgot to remove the centering option from the autofocus and it focused in too far into the foreground.
  20. I'm 42 soon and bought an eyebrows trimming device. Started to look like a sheep dog and it was getting hard to see. Now I just brush them with this thing and the hair goes away. Still got lots of hair on my head too. Last time I got it cut they even had to thin it out bit. Just thought I would rub it in ( to your shiny heads).
  21. Cantonese- Hello is 'Nay Ho' with a slight up-note inflection on the 'ho'. Mandarin- Hello is 'Nee How' said pretty much straight. Most Chinese in Canada are from Hong Kong and speak Cantonese. Mainlanders speak primarily Mandarin, but there are all kinds of dialects and regional languages as you can imagine with a culture that is thousands of years old. Can you tell I work in a casino??
  22. Yes I did see it. Actually it was the first article I read when I got the issue. Lonnie used to live not too far from me and we had talked several years ago about pier walleye...he often fishes the same spot as I (a stones throw from where your fish in your avatar was caught). It was a very informative article and well written as is all of his stuff. If you have big water and a big pier, you will catch walleye. Finding a pattern takes time and patience, but Lonnie outlined the basics quite well.
