Another one bites the dust. I have read your posts and aside from sharing a very similar IP addy you seem to be cut from the same cloth.

When registering please use your ISP supplied email addy. We don't sell address lists and have provisions to stop harvesters. Using your hotmail or yahoo account means we have to run a few IP traces to make sure you are not a spam bot. If we see a rogers, cogeco or other ISP addy we can be reasonably sure you are a real person!

My ex-wife is a library CEO. It requires at least one bachelors degree and a masters degree. Anyone with those credentials will make 80K at a minimum anywhere. If you worked out her salary by the hour, she didn't make any more than I did. She was there 10 to 12 hours a day six days a week and worked on grant requests etc while home. I would expect that salary for that level of education and workload. IT SysAdmins are paid by demand and depending on the area, the demand can be quite high, so if you want someone who can do it, you gotta pay. I would say most of those people have a great deal of education and expertise...some likely do not.

Ok..leafs suck. It was a clean hit. Having your head down and leaning back like that sets you up for a head shot. You have lowered your head far too much by your body angle. NEVER cut across the ice like that near the blue line or you will get your head removed...it has always been that way. Something they teach you in bantam hockey. Head up, don't admire your pass, don't look in your feet for a pass, don't cut across the blue line! The hitter got less resistance than he expected so the lifting force ends up in taking your feet off the ice.

Effective oversight is not always positive. We have been trying to gently to push him away from this deal. And you are saying the same thing we are....don't buy the boat. He ain't listening.

Lots of us have said plenty about the boat...such as don't buy it without driving it, take it to a qualified marina and get it looked after. Some have said pass on it completely. No one has said GO BUY IT. Which is what you want someone to say. So here it is in a nutshell. IMHO you are taking a huge risk buying this boat, but you have made up your mind and are just trying to get someone to agree. You have made excuse after excuse to not look elsewhere or go to the Boat Show or the Spring Fishing SHow or the Sportsman Show. Buy the damm boat. Take your chances that you pissed away 20 grand when you could get so much more for the same cash. Its your money...do what you want. But for the love of gawd stop asking the same questions and putting up roadblocks. None of us will be in the boat or making the payments..you will. Can you live with that risk? I would not pay more than 16K for that boat no matter what. You don't even know if there is compression in the cylinders!!

Rented cottages and such qualify as residences by law. It is where you are living. Why would a rented ice cabin be different? And Dara...really? Laws have never been aimed at those who are responsible. Unfortunately too few of us are. I thought it had all ONE carpet color. Having three different colors means something completely different. The original beige is on the vertical surfaces with red and green on the floors. Is there any duct tape?

I have alarm bells going off because of the three different carpets in there. Was it sunk? I cannot imagine why someone would do that.
