  1. Although Kadri didn't get what he wanted, I bet he'll play with a chip on his shoulder all season, which will be good for the leafs. This kid plays like Dougie G.
  2. The rural towns are getting worse with theives. Luckliy our cottage has not been compromised (knock on wood) but there has been B & E's in the area for petty theft....We have also been witness to large scale grow-ops (confirmed by police) in the area as the criminals are moving into the bush areas to set-up shop. In these towns people are starving for cash and are willing to break the law to get by. Sad.
  3. Centerpin angling is my go to site for specialty steelhead gear, but for other purchases I just order from the states. Even after duty, shipping, and taxes, you can still save a ton.
  4. Are they good eating? I've had saltwater stripers and they were delicious. Nice plump fish
  5. Utterly disgusting. What a nice little hen as well. But it happens every single fall... perhaps the MNR should invest in signage or further explanation against this sort of thing in the yearly rule book?
  6. Arrogant guys in the league? Where did you come up with that? This guy is a Habs or Sens fan.
  7. Shimano compre and crucial 7ft medium with fast action. There are a ton of good rod options out there in this category.
  8. I heard that with the shipping duties and taxes adds another $100 to the cost.... Was thinking about ordering one as well until I heard that. I just went with a st croix
  9. What's the deal with this lure? Seems like it would be a good spring pickeral lure
  10. We're talking about a totally different body of water lol.
  11. Lol says who? You? Nothing is more pathetic than an Internet bully, let alone one that chimes in on a fishing board. The salmon are running, should you be out drifting roe in your patagucci waders and Burberry fishing jacket?
  12. Can you please post a picture of your "rubber boat"
  13. You know what, I'm going to assume that your handle on this board would relate to your method of fishing - you like to float fish for salmon and steelhead with a million dollar set-up, and carry an holier than thou attitude. Makes total, complete sense.
  14. Wow I guess someone here isn't too keen on the opinion of others - can we all see where this notion of the "old boys club" that some have of this board? I've just joined this board, and I think it's great, just from my lurking days it seems that some of the older members always have the voice of reason on topics which I can respect. What I don't respect are idiotic comments made from some of the veteran members such as above - how do you expect further board involvement through posts or meet-ups with such a low-brow attitude? I mean I've read through the posts and understand how things work here better now since I joined, and want to be more involved through posts and reports and such, but the negativity of some (joking posts aside) really is a turn off.
  15. The saugeen is the worst place to fish IMO. Don't waste your time
  16. I'm sorry, but I've never been here, but from the OFC reviews and response from the lodge owner, I'd have to say that this place needs to rethink their strategy on how to service their customers better, plain and simple. My advice to the owner would be to visit a resort like taboo or deerhurst - see how they cater to their clients - this is the attitude and professionalism your customers expect when doling our the greenbacks for a vacation. Most of your customers are professionals, have the moolah to spend, and just want a decent time. If you have a problem with recognizing who your market is, and have trouble servicing them, then perhaps you should exit the business. Good luck.
  17. Do you, or the other locals have a name for it? Had to find a guy with a beer in hand, as this is common place there from all the empties I've noticed around there in the past
  18. When I used to fish there I didn't pay didly, never got a ticket. Haven't fished there in a long time since the fishing stinks and I hate plunking for trout and salmon (the perferred method by the locals)
  19. It's the bro code in here man. No surprise there.
  20. So your plan is when you catch a fish to drive to a cleaning station so that you can clean your fish? Seriously buddy, clean them at home like everyone else.
  21. Better cash in now while the peanut jar economy is hot. Amazing what some people value.
