Nice lookin fish. Haven't been down there in 2 years. Think it's time to return. Haven't been to your shop since the new location. Thanks for the report. Always appreciate the info you provide.

I do see the irony...infact, it's more ironic then a one-legged waitress working at the IHOP.

Pike / Walleye / Nature / Report

Incredible photos. Thanks for sharing. -
Just got back from the area and hope to post a report soon. My group was very surprised to see a lack of boats between Thursday and Sunday until we made the trek over to the opposite side of Callander Bay (just south of North Bay) on our last night and saw upwards of 50-60 boats. We did well on white 1/4oz jigheads with a stinger hook and nightcrawler. If you have an ultralight setup, I suggest you bring it as they were biting lightly. The colours that worked for us may not be what works for you. Their preferences change often but we've had more success with lighter colours. Oh yeah, the mayfly hatch has begun which can make fishing more challanging. Use the search function and you will find relevant info. Good Luck. HG

Oh man.....you are swimming in the estrogen ocean. You are a brave man!

The Kill Bill movies are amongst my favourites and thought he was excellent in them. Sorry to hear of his death.

This is why I strongly recommend checking their credit references. Additionally, get their current address and take a drive bye. I would go as far as talking to some of the current neighbours.

I have one rental property thus far but it is a seperate dwelling. I believe in your case, the portion of utilities you can write off would be based on square footage. I would strongly suggest the following; 1) Check the credit references of potential renters regardless of the cost (tax write-off). This is imperative. 2) Get a good accountant. (His/Her services also a tax write-off) 3) Read Robert Kiyosaki's "Rich Dad" series of books. Although a small portion of what he teaches is specific to US rental property owners, much of it applies to us in Canada as well. They will motivate you like no other financial books.

Glad to see your back and posting. Always find your reports entertaining. Who next, Steve from Hamilton?

I know how much this affects us all, especially parents. But without either a confession or DNA or if their is reasonable doubt, I can't help but think of David Milgaard. However when there is a confession and/or DNA evidence, fire up the electric chair.

Lake Trout fishing with Fish'in Canada Tv Show
huey graphite replied to Fishmaster's topic in General Discussion
Great pics Steve. Fish'n Canada is one of my favourites as well. I'll have to watch for that episode. I recall watching you use the cowbells and peanut setup for lake trout with Charlie Wray on Fishful Thinking. Was that out of Grimsby? -
I thinkk Rick's beef here is legit. It's not the fact that the auto service dept was closed for the stat. It was the fact that they made the effort to post a sign that the store was open but conveniently left out the fact that auto service (tires) was not available.

Great pics Kickingfrog. Any tips on fishing the bay would be greatly appreciated.

That time of year has come again for my annual spring fishing trip with the boys. Unfortunately my 2 brothers can't make it this year however after many years I was able to convince my wife's step-dad to come along. He's a Newfie so I know there will be plenty of jokes and a good time. This year will be even more sweet as we missed last year for the first time in 8 years (damn job) . We're headed to Greening Bay on the South Shore of Nipissing the 2nd weekend in June. Below is a pic from a few years ago. One of my favourites. It's my brother and a buddy of ours.

Have to agree. Couldn't have said it better myself. First banned from the strippers. Next thing you know....."I don't want you to go fishing". Gotta have the upper-hand in the relationship.

Like many Canadians, I too have been following the news on this story. Last night i picked up my wife and daughter at the Buffalo Airport after a vacation in Florida. As I walked in my daughter (8 yrs old) spotted me from about 100 feet away and bolted towards me, jumped in my arms and gave me a weeks worth of hugs. A moment I will cherish and remember forever.

Great looking fish. This pic, however had to have been taken before this weekend as the lower river was full of ice. -

Had planned to be fishing the Queenston drift this morning for my first time and was very much looking forward to it. Have fished from shore on a number of occasions but never from boat. Drove down yesterday to have a look at the conditions to find it was full of ice flows. Plan B to fish Port Dalhousie so I head there to check the water there. Water was like chocolate milk which was no surprise thanks to Friday's rain. No one fishing from shore or boat. Any idea how long it might take for the water clarity to improve? P.S. stopped at Peter's Tackle and found some great deals. Rapala line ranging from 6-25lb test on for $2 a box

Curious to know myself. I live within walking distance and with the wife and daughter in Florida, have time to finally do some fishing. Unfortunately I've had very little success out of 50 point for the past few years and all reports I've read say it is nothing like it was a few years back. If you go, I wish you better luck than I've had......(it's probably just me )
