  1. Nice! I've gotta give carp a try one day
  2. Its not a though DIY if your into that sort of thing and you could save yourself $150 or so for two hours of work. As for recommendations, anywhere other than Canadian Tire
  3. Good to know. Ive lost two before and had to drive to Aikmans. Vibration from trolling is the primary cause.
  4. On a bright note, the boat was fine:)
  5. My trailer pin lock wasn't locking but I thought it would be fine to last a 5 min drive to CT to replace it. 2 mins into the drive I hit a few bumps on the road and BANG, trailer comes off the hitch. I hit the breaks and my boat smashes through the back if my van. 7 Grand
  6. X3 that might be the new standard release shot.
  7. That's too bad! Hope they catch the guy
  8. Well played gas company, well played.
  9. Male/female plug installed beside trolling motor or you can install a kill switch for all the lines going to your batteries.
  10. Eating raw fiddle heads will make your stomach grumble every year after when you see the annual fiddle head thread lol.
  11. Just to be clear I haven't had my driveway done yet. My concern was based on reviews I had read on the web
  12. I'm going the stamped concrete route this fall. The guy I'm using has done driveways for people I know and the work has held up to the test of time. He's a little cheaper than other quotes I've had. The only concern I have with stamped concrete for my driveway, steps and porch is for the finish I want it gets slippery when wet. If you want his info pm me
  13. Thanks bill, I kinda figured they couldn't be too shallow as I've never had an incidental catch looking for pike. Your right Jayess I could drive a lot less for better fishing but Baptiste is my happy place
  14. I was just reading pikeslayers thread on fishing splake instead of pike on the opener to avoid targeting spawning pike. I'm making my annual trip to Lake Baptiste 3rd Sat in May to feed the black flies and maybe this year try for Lakers instead of gators? I'm guessing I will need to use the same techniques as splake fishing in the same type of areas? Thanks
  15. Genuinely impressed and laughing at the same time. Love the old ice hole pic! Good on you guys.
  16. Posted on the right thread this time
  17. Google jeep death wobble. Just cost my budy 5 grand to fix his Rubicon.
  18. Lol! That was supposed to be on a towing thread?? Lol
  19. Google jeep death wobble. Just cost my budy 5 grand to fix his Rubicon
  20. Groupon has a bass fishing guide deal right now with 151 charters. $180 for 4 hours $240 for 8 hours. Cheapest you will find. Charters are out of Topo I think. Big bass lake right close to Orlando resorts
  21. Mitchells bay has a nice motel that's attached to a diner. The room I had had like 6 single bunks in it, perfect for groups of hunters and fisherman. Problem with Mitchells is getting out of the bay is a long and slow ride.
  22. I stay at the travel lodge down town windsor and leave the boat and trailer at lake view marina 2 min drive away. If you book now you will pay under $100 and it's clean. Lots of bars, restaurants and the casino walking distance away.
