  1. My daughter is 4 and starting school next week. I hear you loud and clear, just seems like yesterday she was an infant and would pass out in the car seat on the way to Port Hope and I could get a couple hours fishing in(could park right beside me as I fished). Time sure does fly!
  2. I asked a co-worker here this question, she is a hip 66 and her reponse was "it's easier to fix up after you roll out of a guys bed in the morning" . PM me your # Cudz and I'll pass it on..
  3. Who are ya fool'n Lew, I've fished with you, that's the size of lures you use. Thats a pretty cool realistic one though!
  4. More of a meat guy now, I've got my bucks in the past. Usually take a smallish deer early for selfish BBQ reasons and trophy buck hunt the rest of the season. More of a typical fan, but come new years eve day, I'd take that buck. Now the 2nd buck is a trophy animal where I hunt in southern Ont, and looks lean, I wouldn't pass on him.
  5. Those who fish Canal lake know the area where the cattle field is. We were fishing not far from it when we heard a huge splash, then another. We look over to see what we thought might of been cows swimming across the lake, but the shiloutte didn't look right. We made our way closer to see a cow and calf moose swimming over to the shoreline where the bridge separates the lake. They ran up the back yard of a cottage and continued south over the bridge. Lost them after that. The cattle had moved into the field and spooked the moose out. Different that's for sure.
  6. Go talk to the Manager at the location. They fixed my wife and I up when we changed bank accts and forgot to switch the kids GF daycare fee to the new acct. They can address this in person. .
  7. Thanks, the trick is to insert the football, then inflate it.
  8. Beautiful clean fish Paul has there... Closest I have come below from Lady Simcoe.
  9. Actually Maureen is my business partner and an amazing artist. I feel very lucky to be involved with someone who is so talented. Actually, she has extended a pretty cool offer to the Pet owners on OFC. It can be seen here... http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=46545&pid=497414&st=0entry497414
  10. Ha, I only pop to keep the skin on the back of my neck from poppin from the sun. But it's still way cool.
  11. We posted a new thread last night to announce the winner. http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=46526 You don't need to worry Cudz, you were no where close!
  12. Learnt from the best! Ok, that made me laugh, thanks Paul!

  14. Some great guesses! Only a couples hours left! Good luck all.
  15. Spinnerbaitking nailed it. Best spinnerbait. IMO is Nichols. I don't throw as many as I used to, but when I did it was them. I've had smallies nail it out of 20ft of water with no issues. Other brands shatter after a couple fish. Sounds like a christmas carol as they break apart mid air.

  17. I wasn't going to open this up Steve. My jealousy was peaking with the last Simcoe smallie smash you posted. Man I miss mid week on Simcoe, especially while I'm stuck here in the concrete jungle. Anyways, great report and the smile on the kids faces says everything!
  18. ha, was thinking the exact same thing.
  19. No Problem. I'd like a beaver pelt please...
  20. That is absolutely disgusting. But I can't stop looking at it as I try to figure out how this thing eats. It's like a hoover vacuum with a huge hole in the hose.
  21. Right on. Active fish will be on the edge of the pads. Always start there then move into the pad bed. When you move into the pad bed, pitch to the edge of the clumps in the bed before punching it through the middle for the same reason as the outside edge. Good luck.
  22. What Flouro were you using???? I switched as I found using braid/flouro was just another knot or two to go wrong. Once you get the hang of running straight flouro you'll see the advantages. Myself and most my buddies who are also hard core big water nuts run straight flouro. I know you are talking about tube dragging etc.. but try it with jerk baits too....
  23. Solid mid 3's fish bud. Did ya get him flippn/pitching or throwing a topwater over the pads behind ya?
