A Toronto team that chokes....... you dont say.

I don't get why anyone is shocked..... Leafs do this EVERY year. Unbeatable the first 10ish games each year (so they're "cup contenders"), barely get through the middle 60 games and have a huge fail during the last 10ish games of the season. Classic Laughs. The only way they can make the playoffs is when its a shortened/modified season. Gee.... big shocker! Have to admit watching all the Leaf fans turn into "haters" is hilarious!!! So who's fault is the latest collapse...........refs? Riemers? Princess Phaneuf? Sidney Kadri? :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: GO WINGS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 23rd season in a row... here we come! (even without two of the league's elite players, so I dont wanna hear an "injury" excuses from Leafs Nation)

So all these "world records" that people are claiming might be illegal/Bull...........................NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. -
I rig them one of two ways.... depends on what the fish tell me that particular day. 1) Under a slip float on a small 1/32 or 1/16 oz jighead 2) Dropshot For the most part, in the Kawartha's I use the slip float method, but other places like Simcoe and such the dropshot is the start of the show. Here's an article I wrote a couple years back about Ice-out Crappie on the Kawartha's using Pan slammers..... http://stoty.com/?p=511

Those are about the opposite results of what I've had with them (for crappie). Last spring on a few Kawartha lakes I demolished the fish and my buddies easily 5-to-1 using them. If memory serves me correct, I was up 15-2 at one point in fish. My two buddies were throwing something different and just weren't getting much. My buddy in the back of the boat asked to use a pan slammer and he started hammering fish as well. Was pretty funny seeing the guy in the front and guy in the back hammering fish right beside the guy in the middle that refused to switch.

Only for the "Leaf fans" in the group.... that way they have a (slim) chance to make the money!

Big baits catch big fish! LOL Mike - get some!!! Trust me!

XZone pan slammers. By far my best producer.

Not sure how many of you watch Major League Fishing, but they have the coolest scoring format for tournaments..... LIVE Leaderboard. Each boat has an angler, camera man and referee. Angler catches a fish, ref enters the fish into their app via an iPad, and it updates the "Live Leaderboard" for all other anglers to see, so everyone knows how everyone else is doing instantly. From the popularity of the show, they have come out with an app that allows tournament organizers to utilize this "live" scoring system in their tournaments. They charge $5 per angler, per day for this service. Pretty decent pricing for such a cool format. But... being a Web Developer by trade... I have created my own version of it for use on my annual "boys fishing trip". Leaderboard Page Displays the current standings of the tournament, along with the overall "Big Bass" and Big "Pusky" for the tournament. (Pusky = Pike/Musky) Page refreshes every 30 seconds. Day Results Pages (Day 1, 2, 3, 4) - Show the days results for each angler - 5 bass limit weight - 5 "Pusky" limit lengths - Total points for the day - Bass weight = pts (3.45lb = 3.45 pts) - 10% of Pusky length = pts (35.50in = 3.55 pts) - Page refreshes every 30 seconds Enter Fish Page - This is where anglers enter their catches right on the boat via smartphone/tablet. - After each fish is entered, the DAY and LEADERBOARD pages are automatically updated with weights/lengths/points

I'll def be there at some point! Can't wait!
-
Well...that def won't be hard to do! Can't wait for a Cabela's that's within driving distance!

2 penalty shots and 0 shots on goal. hahaha US are a bunch of babies. Pouting cause they didn't beat Canada. They "Finnished" right where they deserved to.

Multiple platforms add to the cost. Apple would be first if I was to do it.
-
Yes, there's yearly fees of $100 plus registration fees as well. Plus the cost to have it developed as iOS programming is not in my list of known programming languages.
-
LOL Bill. I'll just keep it as a personal project then, doesn't seem to be much interest.
-
Data would be secured and backed up on a regular basis. No worries about losing the data.

I posted one of the projects I'd been working on a few weeks ago (an online fishing log) and I've had some amazing feedback from fellow members. I've even had multiple requests about making my log into an "app". I have looked into this, and it's just not worth it with all the setup and launching fees. The other option I have come up with is making my log available to anyone/everyone that would be interested by creating a "membership" based website. For a (very small) monthly fee, you can have your own personal online log setup that you would be able to access from anywhere you get a cell signal (internet access). My question to everyone is would this be something that you would potentially use for a few bucks a month? For more details about my log check out my original post ----> Found Here

Couldn't agree more Dutch. Completely selfish.
-
Ouch, that's enough to make a man cry! Exactly another reason I made it...so I can have multiple backups of my data. Can never have too many of those.
-
Hmmmm.....not a bad idea.
-
I know there are a few apps out, but I honestly don't think I trust my "classified" data to anyone but myself. Plus this way allows for a lot more data and customization.
-
Thanks gents. Just glad to put my "tron" skills as my wife calls them to good use. Hahaha If I'm at a lake with no cell signal, I have my backup binder that I write everything down in and just input it into the log when I'm back home. It's amazing the patterns you can uncover with a well organized log.

Lots of hotels around the Bay with some being super cheap and close to the water. Try Twin Peaks in Napanee... I stay there all the time. Cheap and close to Deseronto/Napanee area to fish. Also, if you're looking to go with a guide, def look up Joe from PB&J charters. http://www.pbandjcharters.com/

Hey all, Just thought I'd share the latest tool that I've created for use while fishing. This not only helps with tournament prep, but also is very handy for "fun" fishing as well. What I've done is built an online fishing log, where I input all the details of my catches (gps coords, waypoint#, weather, line, lure, depth, etc, etc) and it saves it to a database so I'll have access to all my waypoints on all my lakes, no matter where I go as long as I have internet/data connection on my iPhone/iPad. Search Page - allows me to search my logs base on Lake/Species/Season. It will then display all the entries that match those criteria. GPS Coords - my newest addition to the tool... this page pulls in my current location's GPS coords (lat & long) Save GPS Coords - this page displays the coords, and allows me to transfer them to the next page where I'll input all the details of the catch. Add Entry Page - This is the page where I input all the details of the catch. Notice my GPS coords that were pulled from the previous page Edit Entry page - this allows me to go into any previous entry and edit/add/remove details of that catch or delete that record completely. This tool has been extremely beneficial to me the past few seasons as I use it all the time on and off the water for prep for any tourny's or trips. Being a computer nerd pays off sometimes!
