  1. That is the right attitude to have! Think about tournaments...someone, somewhere is onto the fish, regardless of the weather, and that speaks volumes. Tony
  2. I am not sure if this has been posted here or not yet, but it can't hurt. It almost seems like every day we learn of another fallen soldier from the hostile territories near Kandahar. If you get a moment, go to the following link and post a message to convey the respect, support, and appreciation we have for the courageous Canadian troops. http://www.forces.gc.ca/site/community/mes...ard/index_e.asp Tony
  3. Welcome to the winning team Boosterman, hope you can boost our points! Tony
  4. Interesting name...I have also been trying to think of a catchy boat name. Apparently it is unlucky to have a boat name starting with the letter 'O'...back to the drawing board ( http://boating.ncf.ca/boatnames.html ) Tony
  5. Maybe...you should have just built your own boat and everything? Seriously, what's next? Re-programming your Sonar? You certainly do have a way with fixing/modifying things. Your new nickname is Tool Whisperer Tony
  6. One word...Alfredsson Also, teams without a Canadian Captain will not win the Stanley Cup...at least it hasn't happened yet to date. Niedermayer is Canadian Tony
  7. PowerPro gets the nod, and you can run a leader off of that, fluoro is not necessary. Best part is you can gain practice with the uni-to-uni knot or the blood knot for joining your leader to the PowerPro. Have fun! Tony
  8. http://www.gettinghooked.net/Strikevision.wmv Enjoy! Tony
  9. I wonder how long it will be until a special purpose lake simcoe fishing license will be lobbied for... Tony
  10. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is certainly applicable in Cuba. Many people forget that due to the embargo with the U.S. that they do not have access to the items we are so used to, including foods. I think the people that work the resorts aren't exactly thrilled to be service staff, considering many of them are highly educated with nowhere to apply their knowledge. It's an unfortunate tradgedy, and it certainly shows at lower quality resorts. If you want top notch service with smiles, and food at the calibre we are used to, you've got to pay for it. Sandals Royal Hicacos is a wonderful example of a resort in Veradero, but you certainly pay extra for it. I think Cuba gets a bad rap from the droves of people looking for an all inclusive trip for $1000 and also expect it to be 5 stars+....it's just not the case. At least you got to catch some fish and see Havana, the trip wasn't a complete write off. The fishing is much better on the southern shores at Jardines de la Reina. If I ever return to Cuba it will be chasing bones and tarps in the queens gardens Tony

  12. Indeed! 3 cheers for OFC... Tony
  13. If the water temperature stays constantly cool, they will be there all summer, otherwise they will seek cooler water elsewhere. Tony
  14. If his refresh rate was set to the slowest setting, he may have missed fish coming into the cone and taking his jig, then when hooked the current carried the fish out of the cone... Sounds fishy anyway...100 walleye!? Tony
  15. Catch all the butterflies in the middle-east! Tony
  16. ...What Raf said... Don't you remember that story of the lady who faked being ill in downtown T.O. to panhandle, and then she would drive away in her BMW? Tony
  17. I hear ya! I have the exact same setup and even when having your spool filled to capacity you are somewhat limited. The solution...longer rod. I'm hoping to get a 7' ultralight when I find some spare cash...someday! hehe Tony
  18. Looks like a fuzzy, flying crayfish Tony
  19. Don't forget the Rapala Skitter Walk and high-speed erratic retrieve for those Barracuda! Have a great trip! I know you will. Tony
  20. 1. There is no ban on corn. It can be harmful if ingested by certain species of fish (such as Rainbow Trout) as they have a difficult time passing it. Carp LOVE IT! 2. You are allowed to catch and possess up to 120 minnows at any time with a valid sport fishing license. It is not a good idea to catch minnows from one body of water and use it in another since you could be introducing new baitfish species into that system, however, it is not illegal to do this. Generally it is safe to catch bait and use it in the same watershed (eg. catching bait from creek flowing into the lake you plan on fishing with the bait)
  21. You're going to need the 150mph one Wayne
  22. Gerritt and lundboy, thanks for sharing your wisdom. I used to work at an ISP and what you have stated is bang on! Tony
