  2. PINK! Looks like you're having some fun wth making those baits. You know what they say "bigger bait for bigger fish" Keep us updated on the 19" bait, Love to see it hanging outta the yap of a large toothy critter.
  3. There is a chat room here!?
  4. Ok sounds like we could get a decent turn-out... Whatever the most popular date is, I'll call and reserve some tables. Tony
  5. Hey Terry71, yes I remember you. How are the wire outfits working out for you? I'm guessing that you have already broken them in Here's a link to the Poll - http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9232 Tony
  6. How the heck did that thing get into your house?!
  7. The St Croix's are very fine indeed, and lifetime warranty to boot! I haven't used a GLoomis, but I'm sure the quality is similar.
  8. Hey! a musky fisherman with a smile! that's just not right Glad you made the best of it despite the crumby weather. Tony

    My PB

Excellent catch, nice looking gear you've got there too! I think I have un-hooking mat envy now You could be onto something, using Walleye to catch Catfish (Oh wait!...those silly laws against using gamefish for bait here in Ontario) Tony
  10. Bright and sunny here in Burlington
  11. Either you are getting out early fishing everyday, or are WAY older than I think you are The streetlights aren't even on yet at 8pm! Tony
  12. Ouch! If there is a will...there is a way... My favorite phrase 'What are the chances!?' Heres to a speedy recovery...hard to operate a weed-eater or lawnmower with a hand like that!
  13. It's been a while and I don't know about you guys but I have a craving for some hot wings and cold beer.
  14. ...and remember to leave a small amount of skin on the fillets if you are planning to bring them home. If you are checked by the MNR, they will ticket you for not having the skin on the fish for identification purposes. Have a great trip and catch lots of bass!
  15. Wow those are some impressive stats....it would be interesting to see registered members vs non-registered visitors even though it isn't important to the marketing aspect of things.
  16. What a gorgeous looking Brown! way to go!
  17. What a beauty fish!! Can't beat a weekend of fun in the mud and getting slimed by a musky (and cut by the looks of your finger!) Good stuff!
  18. Restoule is tough for sure, and even more so without a boat, you sure lucked out getting out there with Aaron what a great guy. Funny story about the rock bass, we were night fishing once with minnows for Pickerel and just before we leave my lighted float slams under sure enough one of the biggest rock bass I had even seen had inhaled the minnow. I knew right then and there that the Pickerel are just a tease in that lake, hiring out the rock bass to do their dirty work Did you stop in to see Bing at Martin's Camp? Tony
  19. Humminbird has the Portable 535 or the colour model 585c. Should set you back around $600 for the case, sonar, and materials to change the lantern battery set-up to rechargeable gel-cell batteries. Tony
  20. Always sacrifice the body to save the fishing rod/reel That fish certainly appears to be a baby Atlantic salmon! Tony
  21. SalmonExpress will put you on fish, and they are members of the Charter group that supplies Great Ontario Salmon Derby tickets with your charter. So if you catch a big one, you can officially enter it into the derby. You can also buy 1-day licenses aboard the boat for $10 a person if they don't have them http://www.salmonexpress.com Tony
  22. That first 'smallie' picture of mr sinns is actually a Largemouth by the looks... Can't beat a night out catching fish, it's been so long for me I think I might have forgotten how to tie a palomar knot Tony
  23. Great report! thanks for sharing. Amazing how hard the salmon can fight! they put pretty much all other freshwater fish to shame when it comes to a tug of war out in open water. Tony
  24. Wonderful! the A/C and Furnace isn't getting installed until next Wednesday at the new place
  25. I find it funny that people are so skittish about eating fish from L. Ontario. Check and see how much Mercury is in the tuna sandwich you just fed your kids, then all of a sudden, a small salmon from L. Ontario is a much more attractive option. http://www.pbs.org/now/science/mercuryinfish.html http://www.cbc.ca/canada/manitoba/story/20...na-testing.html Tony
