The St Croix's are very fine indeed, and lifetime warranty to boot! I haven't used a GLoomis, but I'm sure the quality is similar.

...and remember to leave a small amount of skin on the fillets if you are planning to bring them home. If you are checked by the MNR, they will ticket you for not having the skin on the fish for identification purposes. Have a great trip and catch lots of bass!

Restoule is tough for sure, and even more so without a boat, you sure lucked out getting out there with Aaron what a great guy. Funny story about the rock bass, we were night fishing once with minnows for Pickerel and just before we leave my lighted float slams under sure enough one of the biggest rock bass I had even seen had inhaled the minnow. I knew right then and there that the Pickerel are just a tease in that lake, hiring out the rock bass to do their dirty work Did you stop in to see Bing at Martin's Camp? Tony

I find it funny that people are so skittish about eating fish from L. Ontario. Check and see how much Mercury is in the tuna sandwich you just fed your kids, then all of a sudden, a small salmon from L.
