  1. Maybe his 2 buddies are laying down in under the gunwales?
  2. Another option would be TTC. Park at Yorkdale mall-free. Ride the rocket right down to Union Station and it is a short walk to the HHoF and back to the ACC for the game. If you drive down there are a lot of underground lots in the area.
  3. Another saying for that is "cleaning house" One of the few good things about hard times is that employers looking for people don't usually have to settle for the "seconds".
  4. This type of thing really burns my berries. Instead of looking for opportunities to encourage the large number of people who chose to recreate on and near the Lake to stay and spend even more money in their community they want to make the problem (out of towners) go away. The main reason this type of thing happens is because the people who run and are voted into positions of power are only concerned with the short term (the next election) and easy solutions (in this case taxing people who have no vote) to complex multi-levelled "problems". I'll buy my supplies elswhere. The best options would be to remove the park and the parking lot. That way there are no maintenance costs, no grass cutting, no snow plowing, no garbage clean up. Problem solved. If the people don't get the hint then put up a giant wall around the lake the, keep all the smelly people away.
  5. The background isn't the issue for that photo. It's the foreground....and the caption on a national newspaper's web site.
  6. Anybody from here? http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/sto.../PhotoGallery02?
  7. Even better... the threads that just... disappear
  8. Thanks for the help guys. I guess I'll never understand retail/marketing and price points. For me, less than 10% cost difference between 2 very similar products from the same company makes no sense. And Dawg if I was fishing in 'Bama I'm sure I'd use/need some frogg toggs.
  9. The summer is a long way away in this economy. My understanding is that Honda is finding other ways of deferring some costs and asking staff to take some vacations to keep things moving. Just hear say.
  10. snakehead - Not native to North America http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snakehead_fish
  11. Welcome danjang. You can use regular fishing line with a fly rod and reel, but in most cases you won't be able to "cast" a fly. The weight of the fly line (there are many different types) is what loads the rod so that the fly can be cast. People use regular lures (usually small ones) on fly rods, these don't need fly line to be cast since they have enough weight on their own. That's a start, I'm sure many more of the collective will chip in as well.
  12. I am looking at replacing some of my rain gear. BPS has a couple of options that I am considering: #1. 160.93 KPH Gore-Tex system bibs #2. Pro Qualifier bibs I don't see any distinguishing features listed in BPS literature, besides a couple of dollars, what is the difference between the two? Input please.
  13. It's not a matter of opinion.
  14. I've been going to the Sportsman's show for about 25 years and will miss the "old" building. I still remember my first trip with my dad. I bet my eyes bugged right out of my head when I saw all that tackle for the first time. I attend a conference every summer at the convention centre, and while there are some pros I see some cons as well. It won't be the same, but what is? There will be more parking options ,IE price, but less spots. Since there will be more access to public transit maybe less spots will be needed. I wonder how some people from "out of town" will feel about having to make their way into the heart of T.O.? I also wonder what the vendors will have to say about this change of venue? My 2 cents.
  15. I prefer a single hook on most of my spinners and spoons. I also bend the hook a little.
  16. Dark colours = more mosquitos
  17. Yes you can use flies with spinning tackle. The weight of you line will depend on the size of the fish your after, the length and action of your rod and the water colour. In really small streams where a 10 inch brookie is huge, 2lb line could be used but 4lb or even 6lb would most likely be fine. You'll use more split shot in deeper water or in faster current.
  18. If you are really hungry There is nothing to clean up.
  19. That doesn't happen often, but it feels nice when it does. I think they would love that photo, since they have a sketch of that same "shot" on their web page background, and a photo in their gallery.
  20. Everyone of your photos has been great to see. Thanks for sharing them Bernie The Delmonte in the Pines might be interested in your photo as well. http://www.del-coin.com/delmonte/index.html
  21. Enjoy your March break.
