  1. I don't believe so, but never trust someone on-line.
  2. http://www.tackletour.com/ Great site for some comparables, although might not be dial-up friendly. The curado 300 is rated very high. I have a calcutta TE and a curado 300 and like them both very much.
  3. No big deal, I didn't 'splain it too well.
  4. I'm a hardware steelheader and traditionally for me it's been 6lb or 8lb mono depending on the rod and condition. For the last 2 years I've had a spool of 15lb braid in my vest that I haven't yet pulled out to try. Maybe this year.
  5. Thanks for sucking the life out of a tongue in cheek comment that was meant to make light of how much time I spend on the computer on this site.
  6. If it weren't for computers and the internet a lot of us would get more done.
  7. My wife will never understand what I "see" in this place... but she's ok with that. She's a keeper for sure.
  8. Clearly that is a big burbot, but the photo makes it look even bigger.
  9. The first one is one of the 7.
  10. Is this it? http://coastwatch.glerl.noaa.gov/modis/region_map.html
  11. Enjoy the game tonight.......... same here.
  12. You're right, I should have also said to read twice as much as you type.
  13. I think something was lost in translation. 2 strokes still have a place, but 4 strokes are were its going.
  14. A point of note for a few of the above. A first round pick is not the 1st pick overall. The first pick overall for a team is not necessarily a 1st round pick. There are lies, damn lies and the then there are statistics.
  15. You can like or dislike moves, deals and signings all you want, but you can't fairly judge a GM based on 16 months of work. This isn't the old NHL where teams could be bought in one free agent period. Time will tell. As I was writing this I heard part of Burke's press conference on the FAN. Even if you don't like him, I think he is interesting to listen to. In regards to the Kessel deal he used an analogy of 2 framers arguing about what crop had just been planted. The gist is that arguing/debating about some subjects is pointless and that in time the answer will be apparent. The Kessel/ draft picks can't be properly evaluated until 15 or so years from now.
  16. If you use your ears twice as much as your mouth you can learn something.
  17. It does. Same way you can get "stunted" fish in a body of water. I was going to try and explain it, but I don't type fast enough and probably wouldn't explain very well either. Here is an article from in- fishermen. http://www.in-fisherman.com/content/walleye-management-new-millennium Or you can search "walleye recruitment" and read a bunch of papers on the subject.
  18. The fish is covering the puke as well. At least I didn't get any in my hair.
  19. In-Fisherman magazine just had an article about some technique specific rods for smallmouth tactics (Feb 2010). They listed 2 rod/reel combos that they like for dragging tubes and football heads: Combo 1, Kistler He69MHS rod and Shimano Symetre 2500FJ. Combo 2, Fenwick Elite Tech ECR70MH-F rod and Abu Garcia Soron SX60 I know virtually squat about these two set-ups, but there is a little bit more info to mull over.
  20. It went with the update about a month ago. It was mentioned in one of the new board updates posted by the mods. If you do a search you should find it and the reasoning for it going.
  21. 65 thousand square foot (yes 65,000 ft2) uncompleted home on Lake Temiskaming is for sale. I bet a coffee that camp jiggy is "worth" more. Money does not buy taste or style. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/what-does-a-25-million-home-look-like/article1531476/
  22. Thanks guys. The sea is a much different beast then anythings else I've experienced. Big, horizon covering swells and wind/waves blowing diagonally across the swells made me feel like I was bobbing on a cork. Now that I'm back I'll post some photos from the resort as well.
  23. Trombley's in Orillia had them when I was there 2 weeks ago.
