  1. Not the for the people I have trained, and there is a cardio requirement.
  2. And my point was that I was too polite to say what I truly thought of the value of your first statement.
  3. Neat stuff! Look at those fitness requirements: 20 pushups 20 situps 30 knee bends And no cardio requirements. Those were the days when the players used training camp to get into playing shape.
  4. All the above will work. One of my first options is drifting or trolling crawler harnesses behind 3 ways or bottom bouncers. I've been using scented plastic worms for a number of years up there and I don't if I'll ever bother with live worms again. If you find the fish but aren't getting bit, use a slip sinker with a minnow, leach or worm.
  5. Wherever you got it from, your info is garbage. If you were to get fined for measuring a fish to check if it is a fish that needs to be released it would last a nanosecond in court. Out of season fish are to be released immediately.
  6. Skeeter's on it. Check the exceptions as well.
  7. I have never heard of a tail being clipped before. Was it worn? Top or bottom of tail?
  8. Nice fishes. My photographer was too busy fishin' to take a picture of my fish.
  9. Almost every time In-fishermen talks about line they mention that some types of brands of mono and fluoro take a bit of fishing to "break-in". It's not something I can say for certain that I have noticed, but that might be that by the time my line has been broke-in I've lost enough that I assume either: I just spooled on too much, or I took the twist out of it. Personally I don't use all fluoro because I find it too kinky, and braid or mono with a fluoro leader suits what I want. 2-5 foot leaders for me cover just about anything I do. Maybe it just needs some seasoning? Good luck.
  10. WOW! Bring floss.
  11. I can't read, I need pictures.
  12. I don't think those will work at all. I'll get rid of them for you.
  13. Nice fish! Can you fish for pike through the ice? Seven months is a long time.
  14. I think it was a lifestyle thing for Harry. He has lived in the Buffalo area for years, and doing Sabres games meant a less rigorous travel schedule. Has much as I liked them in the past, but now want them to retire, I think they would be two great guys to sit down and have a beer with. Harry's stories from his days coaching in the WHL are priceless.
  15. No, they are different. It could have been a mistake, although the limit for whitefish on Simcoe is 2 so he was still 10 over his limit. The population on herring on Simcoe crashed a number of years ago, and the season was closed. The numbers appear to be coming back up, which is good 'cause lake trout get big eaten' 'em.
  16. http://www.thebarrieexaminer.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=2542704 News Briefs Posted By Posted 7:00am April 21, 2010 ILLEGAL CATCH COSTLY A Shanty Bay resident has been fined $2,000 for catching 12 lake herring from Lake Simcoe, an activity which has been prohibited for almost a decade. Ihor Lutsyk pleaded guilty last week in a Barrie courtroom. According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, the lake herring population has "dramatically declined" since 1970. Regulations changed in 1995, including lowering the catch limit. The lake herring fishery closed in 2001, and there is no open season on Lake Simcoe. Court heard that Lutsyk was checked by conservation officers during an enforcement blitz on Feb. 27. Authorities found the fish inside a garbage bag in his cooler.
  17. WOW! That looks really fast even without an engine. Possible first conversation in new boat, yelled over the noise from the engine and roar of the air traveling past your ears: I said "Do I have a bug in my teeth?"
  18. That's right, let's get both of those teams good and tired. Great hockey, entertaining, affordable and I don't have to spend an 2-3 hours in the car getting to the game and back.
  19. Hey Radnine, if you think those guys are bad you should listen to some of the guys that TSN picks-up from the states when then use the feed from the home team. Truly sad, and completely one-sided.
  20. So the moral is: don't leave your teeth in cola for a year? Thanks goodness I swallow.
  21. I feel almost the same way. A great one can hang on too long.
  22. I drove an hour away from Barrie and caught 1 shaker that was half the size of those perch.
  23. Many states have much different rules then what some of us might be used to. Many are more liberal, some are not. Where was he fishing?
  24. Ya, I hate guys in canoes that don't know where I'm going and can't GET OUT OF MY WAY!
