With all the openers and spring fishing trips at this time of year I thought this just might slip someone's mind. Plus now that I've bought my cards you can have at the left-overs.

Often, the best solutions are also the simplest. Use the bailer.

Electric Lawn Mower and small engine repair

Some (most?) rechargeable batteries don't work at their best until they have been fully charged and run down a few times. I wouldn't expect it to perform to the stated maximums (that's marketing Bull) but you're right it should do a regular city yard. Good luck. -
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/toronto/crocodile-spotted-in-hamilton-area/article1557182/ Crocodile spotted in Hamilton area A large crocodilian has been reported loose in a Hamilton Pond. It has been seen across from Hutches Restaurant at 280 Van Wagners Beach Rd. Bry Loyst of the Indian River Reptile Zoo is on site and is attempting to capture this animal. Conservationists comb area ponds, try unsuccessfully to capture the croc From Wednesday's Globe and Mail Published on Wednesday, May. 05, 2010 3:51AM EDT Last updated on Wednesday, May. 05, 2010 4:46AM EDT On Sunday morning, Tom Badeau set out to his local Hamilton-area pond expecting to snap photos of birds and otters - the usual critters he sees on his regular nature jaunts. But a shot of a branch in the middle of the pond that dipped into the deep made him do a double take. “I thought it was a stupid stick,” he said. It turned out to be much more exotic and dangerous – a crocodile that has become the object of a determined search and rescue mission in the pond near Barangas On The Beach. Animal conservationists were combing the area ponds Tuesday evening in a “night hunt” trying to capture the crocodile that had likely been a pet set free by a wary owner, said Bry Loyst, a curator with the Indian River Reptile Zoo. But the croc evaded Mr. Loyst and his crew Tuesday night. If and when he finally does snag the beast, he’ll use ropes and anything he can to wrestle it into captivity. “We're using the snare ropes, lasso or I'll jump on it,” he said, adding that the croc is not used to water temperatures this cool. Mr. Loyst thinks the croc has left the pond and may have travelled down one of the waterways that branch from it. The zoo will only recommence the search if the Hamilton Conservation Authority gives its blessing. Mr. Badeau didn’t even know it was a crocodile until his wife, Carla, enlarged his photo at home. She called the Hamilton Conservation Authority, which then called Environment Canada. The federal agency reached out to the Indian River Reptile Zoo, which trains its conservationists, Mr. Loyst said. He saw the croc for himself when he visited the site with Mr. Badeau on Monday. . While it’s legal to own a crocodile, he says, cross-border reptile smuggling is on the rise. And, like with puppies, crocs can be cute when they’re little and unwieldy when they grow. “Those are real pets - they can love you back.” The zoo’s most recent call for a croc was last fall in London, Ont. The resident managed to catch the reptile himself. There are 23 species of crocodiles, none of which are native to Canada, he said. The zoo has about six, which the crocodile will join if captured.

Like it's 7lbs bigger. BIG fish for sure. Beautiful colours as well.

I know an OFNer went for an unexpected swim off of the end of his boat this weekend on Quinte. He also caught a 7.7lb, 30 inch, walleye, and his partner a 9.9 pounder.

I don't get it.

League site says 1/33. Which ever, it stunk. http://www.nhl.com/ice/teamstats.htm?fetchKey=20103ALLAAAAll&sort=powerPlayPercentage&viewName=powerPlay

1 for 33 (1%) to be exact. They had the highest percent success rate during the regular season at about 25%, I think the next closest team was the toilets seats at around 21%. I think we know why Team Canada may have decided why not to take Green over Doughty for the Olympic team.

No sane, thinking person wants that.

Or invite me down to go fishin' in some of your spots while you work on the fishing rod. You were my first thought Spiel, and if it was a rod that was worth some serious money it would be going to you.

I do think Crosby is a better all-round hockey player than Ovechkin. We are only 5 years into this comparison that will last for the next 50 years and both players have 12-15 seasons still to play. That said Ovie is very entertaining to watch, maybe more than Crosby. My first instinct is to not like ovie (that's growing-up with the Iron curtain for you I guess). Ovechkin loves to play hockey. Much of the time he acts like the biggest kid in the world, and I find that refreshing. The down side is that, like a kid, he wants to stay out on the ice all the time. Hockey shifts of over a minute are not the most efficient use of a human's energy systems. No amount of training, or genetics, can overcome that fact. If Ovechkin were to take shorter, but more frequent, shifts he would have a similar amount of total ice time but the quality of his shifts would go up dramatically. That's scary when you think what he has been able to do up to this point doing his way.

Neat Walleye picture I forgot about... and a 'lil tip

After seeing DouG's experience with Angling Specialties and his rod, I thought I'd see for myself. I have a rod or two that are worth more to me then I could sell them for and I would like them fixed. A search on the net lists 3 locations for AS in the GTA, Concord is the closest one to me. Do all three stores offer the same services? If so, is the service quality the same? No need to slag someone here if you are not a fan, just send me a pm. Is there someone closer to Barrie that does quality work? Thanks guys,

As in Barker.

I'll bid a dollar, Bob.

Nice report. I think many of us from southern Ontario have visions of countless lakes "up there" with not a soul on them. I guess perception and reality don't always match.

I was trying to read the bottom of page 8... or was it the top??? Have fun, and keep fishin' folks.

I think you're a friggin' moron (I've always wondered what "friggin' moron" would come out as through the censor and know I'll know.) If you truly believe the MNR will give you a fine for measuring a potential slot fish during the open season then you and the ticket giver are friggin' morons. I have no trouble speaking my mind, of course that's probably because I have one. Have a great day, I'm going fishin'.

'cept they won the cup in 62, 63, 64 and 67. The leafs haven't been doing as well once the fitness bar was raised so to speak.

I stand corrected, it must have been someone else's army.
