  1. If its a $2,000 repair, if the average house is worth $400,000...your really sweating too much about 0.5% of home equity...nothing to lose sleep over either way it goes. $2,000 in legal fees won't get you too far either. HH's got it right. LOL Whatever claim route you got, take it and good luck.
  2. I have many runs of hectic days, early morning late night repeat...hard work...wouldn't call it a sport. I'd love to spend some time on a tourney, sounds like fun but I don't have the vacation time to do it.
  3. I can think of something that fits Websters definition as an 'interesting diversion' but I don't think even ESPN would broadcast it.
  4. Perjury...just keep denying LOL I'm sure theres a club fed for clems, they found nice digs for Martha Stewart, a good ole boy like clems should find some nice accomodations IF they really start jailing American Pastimes heroes...
  5. Wheres my beer and lawn chair, I'm competing with anyone else parked on shore LOL If my arse is parked in a boat, then I'm competing with other boats, while I sit on a different chair and eat cheezos. LOL When I'm alone I compete with myself I'm Athlete of the Year. I'd like to thank my sponsors, CTC lawn chairs, Budweiser and Cheetohs Hope I don't gotta walk up any stairs to get my elite athletic trophy.
  6. clems is just digging himself deeper and deeper, Pettite admitted it and moved on and they are leaving him alone. He should just admit it, join himself with some other big name company, spend his free time counting all his money and move on.
  7. Home inspection or Home insurance...? Can't back charge home improvements to a guy that inspected years ago. Especially when your upgrades will add to value of your home which you recoup on sale. Might get some coin on clearing out a nuisance basis but my votes with the home inspector.
  8. No and No. Anything you can do sitting on a lawn chair is not a sport. Do Pros and wannabes dress like athletes? YES Same opinion about Poker on ESPN, give me a break. My high school euchre games shoulda been on ESPN and TSN
  9. Happy New Year I'm from a Year of the Horse. Feel sorry for the Rat guys, who was in charge of picking the animals?

Wasn't flaming Joey, I suggest contacting TJ, maybe he can ban anyone you disagree with. Does this mean I am kicked out of the St. Roy parade committee? :) Thanks Muskymatt, why let facts spoil an excellent argument LOL

Me too greencoachdog...I guess after seeing whats been posted here, its a 'new' level of charitable service: 'Charitable and community work for children, ZERO trash talk and insults' I just can't beleive that people think its OK to call kids panhandlers. And, Rickster, what you call an insult is just someone trying to be accurate. I also got a sneaking suspicion if the kids Dad were standing next to him, he wouldn't be called a panhandler. I've said enough, I think.

No heads bowing here. I didn't know there was a level of charity work after which its ok to insult and be rude to kids LOL The only other explanation was its open season for Roy fishing for compliments. Like I said, this thread was a joke from the start and it looks like this thread might turn into the Saint Roy thread if the Bull piles up and gets any deeper here (and all the plows in Toronto are busy clearing the snow).

If you can dish it out you should be able to take it. I stand by the accuracy of my opinion. There's just too many 'adults' trashing kids these days, without justification. And why would you think I'm in a bad mood when I'm just enjoying what I'm doing??? If I were to rant it would be the 8-0 footbal game score against the Buds.

Hey Terry, I buy my kids stuff as well, only because he's not at the age yet that he can sell stuff on his own and when that time comes, I'll buy the chocolates as well, cause I wouldn't want some ______ to bad mouth him, BUT like I said, a smile and no thanks works just as well, as opposed to getting off on 'winning' an argument with a child or insulting and name calling kids with slurs like 'panhandler', thats classless, makes you wonder who has the brains, the kid or the 'adult'. And I don't see the difference between a kid asking for you to buy a chocolate bar and posting the same sort of request on a message board. Same sentiment and it might result in the same 'panhandling' slur by other's. I guess what it comes down to is being able to politely interact with children...and if ya can't...just smile and nod (most anyone should be able to do that without ranting LOL) This threads a joke anyway based on the initial content... FYI I'm a proud conservative party member, I just don't feel the need to put down kids to make myself feel superior.
  15. Knights an amazing man and coach. Lots of complainers, but never his players, which says alot. Great combination of understanding the game and the human nature of the players.

Everyone has a cause Roy... Surprised to see you ranting on this because OFC (and you in particular) have your causes that you don't mind promoting. Kids sports is just as worthy as some of the other causes I've seen here, without getting into it further. (Tyler's event being a separate event as it is extremely worthy) I see a kid fundraising and I give whatever change I got...or more of a donation for groups I am familiar with...calling kids panhandlers is totally uncalled for, especially when it could be applied to some 'cause of the day' who are adults, which you might take offense to as its your pet project. Whats a 7 year old supposed to do, incorporate a company and sell shares...they sell chocolate. If a kids sports tournament is in a remote location, there will be kids in the group that may not be able to afford the trip, or there may be adult volunteers that donate their time and should not be expected to also dip into their own funds to supervise these kids. A smile and a no thanks also works. Yours truly, Dad
  17. That was an easy 100 for me...the happy intersection of sports and money. Aside from being an underdog fan, I hate to point out the obvious, but Pats never had a shot at a 'perfect' season...my definition of perfect doesn't include getting written up for having a Dishonest coach. Or have refs steering a game or two, nothing too outrageous, towards a high ratings season finale. So it looks like the only D that counts is Defence. Belichek should have gone for a b&e and stolen the playbook if he wanted the Superbowl, and Brady the drama queen waltzing thru NYC in a cast...best comedy is real life. LOL
  18. Take the points, I think its up to 14 now, and the Giants and enjoy rooting for the underdog spoiler. I think the Giants getting a second look at the Pats so early after their loss will take advantage of it.
  19. Why do lawyers button up their shirts all the way up and wear ties? Keeps 4skin from covering their face LOL and forget the shovel Wayne, I think Marty would agree the only right move is to buy Uncle Enzo's house and just pay someone to dig it up...more dignified than sneaking around with a shovel.
  20. So if I really was having a stroke, I'm definitely logging on to another web site. Glad it worked out bricknblock, although with all that blood I think you should still see an MD, let me know about suing the hook manufacturer...those hooks are way too sharp if they can cause that much blood shed
  21. this gets the OFC loyalty award, telehealth ontario has registered nurses on the toll free phone...I guess TJ should start including medical malpractice coverage for all registrants LOL I'm feeling sharp pains in my chest, slurred speech what should I dddddd1qr9u38y v3oqvhoqr84tuo28
  22. I don't see the humour, lawyers just following protocol (an oldie but a goodie) Heres another one: Lawyer hands orphanage a bill for 100.00 Nun gives lawyer 100 bill, lawyer finds out later there were 2 100 bills stuck together Ethical Dilemma for Lawyer: Does he tell his partner about the extra 100?
  23. 1. I support the troops and the war and I don't really understand the gutless doubletalk which separates the two. 2. I also thank God our nations, US and Canada, were full of people with integrity back in 1939 to fight for freedom and democracy. Those 2 are for you Riparian. Lorissa: God Bless your son and his family.

  25. If its 'just out of warranty' you need to find out if NY or wherever you bought from, has 'implied' statutory warranties, not all states have them. Implied warranties can cover situations like breakdowns that occur, for example, 3 years and a month after the written 3 year warranty, see if you can get a local lawyer familiar with consumer protection laws to look into it. It deals with Lemon type of situations. A letter from a marine mechanic dealing with the cause of the problem might also help you because you will have to deal with the accusation that you might be at fault for having abused it or damged it. Hope it works out for you.
