  1. I use canned tomatoes instead of fresh tomatoes, canned are softer and more suited to salsa (my taste anyways) Lets not forget green onions as well
  2. For a guy that delivers junk mail door to door, I don't know how you can criticize what I, or anyone else, does for a living.
  3. Ones a bottom dwelling garbage eater...the other ones a fish LOL
  4. Hi Photoz, try not to take it personally as my dislike for Carp long pre-dates 'meeting' you and is based on the fact that its an invasive pest. If the MNR is working on getting rid of them (carp), I am all for it, no offense to anyone thats personally against it. My jokes are aimed at carp...so lets quietly put away the pitchforks and torches and smile, you'll live longer (ask any cardiologist). Works been busy...I only have time for the odd sarcastic remark on my traditional favorites, like carp.
  5. Hope your right Terry. Another technique to erradicate Carp would be for the Federal Government to ban carp fishing (punch line is in there)
  6. Congrats When does bass season open?
  7. Congrats. Nice to see. 3 Boys 1 Dad -------- = no clean house for Mom for at least 20 more years. Did Al Pacino get credit for the thread title?
  8. Soy sauce and brown sugar are key ingredients with mine, with walleye being so lean, keep the smoking time shorter to avoid drying out the meat, although drier has a longer shelf life. I can email you the recipe, its at home, the standard big chief instructional recipe plus a few modifications. (dill is a nice add on if you like the taste)
  9. I'm really not sure...somehow I hate the way it ended...AND I'm also feeling like demanding another episode It would have been an excellent season finale and waiting for a few months to see what happens, but for this to be a season finale...forever...ouch. I thought my TV crapped out, or I feel asleep, so I rewinded it and watched again...*(&&^$^^$&
  10. Loads of free water for my garden and my grass. Always look on the bright side of life...
  11. Congrats Wayne and have a great summer
  12. Congrats PF June 5 is a good day... my brothers birthday. I should be joining the '2 Boy' club in August
  13. Sens are blowing a real chane for the Cup, it might be a while before they can go through the playoffs with the luxury of not facing the great Blue and White players of LEAF NATION. As for me personally, just to be nice I am offering free autographs for Sens fans, I am currently tied with Spezza, Alfredson and Heatley for playoff goals in the 2007 Stanley Cup Final.
  14. My deepest condolences Lew. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
  15. I thought if they charge one they should charge all who break the law...looks like he is only guilty of poaching while wearing the wrong skin color.
  16. Maybe the helicopter needed help landing
  17. ahh memories of limnology 400...I feel like I'm 23 again. I think you'd also need a date as the SD depth would be changing as the water gets warmer
  18. Toronto? wheres that? anyone have GPS coordinates? can we fish from shore?
  19. Hi Cliff, Glad to hear there was a happy ending. I guess in addition to NF the thread title should also include NB 'not-boating' LOL
  20. Out of habit I'm still going to hope for Sens being eliminated. The only reason they have for hope is they didn't have to face the Leafs.
  21. I know Joey, but you wouldn't believe what people can dream up if they have an axe to grind and don't care about lying. If you are leaving early you should negotiate them paying you for the inconvenience of early termination...if you are in agreement about leaving early, get it all in writing re terminating the lease early etc., otherwise they might claim you left early and still owe rent to July 1 (seen that trick before).
  22. Verno, if you could post your final decision or PM me I'd appreciate it, I need a clean drum (1/2 drum to be exact) for roasting a lamb or a pig this summer, scarberia or newmarket both work for me. Nothing fancy like your pic, just a half barrel on the ground with a handmade spit to rotate the meat.
  23. On the twit for tat thing...the list of things to do is pretty easy to make and endless, and no doubt the landlord will also have some ideas in reply as well, claiming there is insufficient notice, hidden damages claims etc., my 2 cents is avoid temptation and just be hard to get a hold of but do give them the key and walk away at the end hopefully without any need for dealing with them again. Starting a fight at the end of the the term just opens the door for having to continue to deal with them down the road.
  24. Congrats HH, As my lawyer told me when I bought my place: The bank owns the house, but the good news is they are going to let you and your family live in it LOL

    Seagulls

About 15 years ago I was casting a rapala from shore and a sea gull grabbed it in mid flight, so I start reeling it in...not losing my rapala and the bird would die for sure with a rapala and 40 feet of mono. It was in a small town canal area, the first person to come up to me was some old lady squaking about how I was a mean dude for messing with the sea gull, the second was a CO who says to me, while I'm still reeling in the bird, 'you'd better not hurt that bird ...I better see it fly off healthy...bla bla bla and stands by to watch (no help offered while I bring the bird to hand), wrestle with it CAREFULLY, get my hands covered in bird doo and untangle and unhook and release the bird to fly off and join the million others circling around. I gave the old hag and the co a glare cleaned up and continued fishing...both walked away without thanking me for taking good care of the rat with feathers LOL
