I do find it hard to believe that no auto wreckers ontario wide have the part, there are a couple around here that are go tos for used parts for mechanics is doms auto in Courtice. give them a call, maybe they can help you
  4. be very careful with the electric grinders, you can burn through a blade pretty quick by getting the angle wrong
  5. like aplumma said, learning how to properly sharpen and hone your knife is key. once you learn that, your knife will be golden. I would suggest practicing on an old knife first, as misgrinding or honing will either roll your edge, of put a nice big burr on it, you'll be able to feel it just running your thumb nail down the side of the blade out of everyone on this board, i would guess that I put my knives through the worst punishment. regrinding a new edge every 3-5 weeks is common with our knives. average life span of about 8months to a year for a knife at the shop
  6. this will affect more than just fisherman, hunters and trappers, think of the people that run fishing and hunting shops, baitshops, guides, lodges, outfitters, manufacturers of fishing and hunting gear.
  7. also, anything with a squeeker in it, its hit personal mission to find the squeeker and destroy it. the "tough" toys at petsmart, lasted 1/2 hour. ended buying the ones made out of firehose. has 3 squeekers in it that he can't get to, its been 6 months of trying MUAHAHAHAHA

  10. bundle, they had a promotion on last spring, internet, phone and HD VIP package cable, shomi for 6 months and NHL gamecentre for 1 year for $100 a month, plus rental/purchase of modem and hd boxes with a 2 year contract. they waived the 2 year contract for me though since i was a new customer switching from bell lol i've added a couple of channels and kept the shomi sub, so for all 3 including the box rentals im at $145 per month when i was with bell, the fastest internet speed i could get here was 5 down 1 up. had hd sattelite tv, and home phone with them as well, and i was over $240/month
  11. with rogers i get 60mb d/l and 10mb u/l with 320gb usage for $45 a month
  12. depends on the family i guess and how many devices are being used on the wifi, and how much data is being consumed. i know with my tv package, i can pick individual channels. but its a more expensive HD package
  13. i wasn't saying all pot smokers, just saying the post secondary pot smokers
  14. you need a high speed internet connection with lots of data
  15. considering i pay 2.75 a month for WFN with my rogers package....$10 is a scam. and bells reported basic package is horrendous! i mean cpac/cspan, local tv station, 10 french channels, tvo, cbc, global, V!, and some other obscure channels no one ever watches. No ABC, NBC, CBS or Fox. Compared to what Rogers, and Shaw are offering, its a world of difference. http://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/bell%E2%80%99s-tv-starter-package-is-now-only-dollar25-%E2%80%94-but-will-anyone-want-it/ar-BBq83kb?li=AAggNb9
  16. I would like to see the number of votes Trudeau got from college/university students over his marijuana promise....the number of legal voters on campuses that hear legalize marijuana, who otherwise may or may not be interested in voting, sure could skew the vote to him
  17. yep, because we really needed that 407 extension that took out thousands of acres of valuable farmland
  18. supposed to get around 20cm of snow tomorrow, this wind is just the front of the that storm moving in
  19. o'Leary is our Donald Trump, not in the political way, that up for another debate. But both are a lot smarter about money and business than any one of us, its why they are in the positions they are in. Why are we building up so much debt? so that we can be taxed more so the government has more to spend and pt us further in debt? Liberal, Conservative, NDP, Green or whatever, it doesn't matter what colour your flag is, the fact remains the same, cut the government spending on our dollar.
  20. http://www.ottawasun.com/2016/02/28/open-letter-from-kevin-oleary-to-kathleen-wynne To: Kathleen Wynne From: Kevin O’Leary Re: New Cap and Trade Slush Fund Hi Premier, just saw you are setting up a new $1.9 billion cap and trade fund that you and Finance Minister Charles Sousa will be overseeing. Congratulations, you two are now managing the largest hedge fund in Ontario’s history! I’m just as optimistic as you are. But I recently made a promise to every taxpayer in Canada that I would call out mediocrity, incompetence and risk in government economic and fiscal policy, so I feel the need to verify a few things: * This new slush fund will have its own independent and transparent account, right? * I will need a quarterly statement of fund flows in and out of the account documenting the source and use of proceeds. After all, someone in your government might forget that this money was earmarked to reduce carbon emissions and spend it on something else. * I expect to be informed on administrative head count. Rumour has it you're planning on hiring hundreds of new government employees to administer the fund. You know how snippety some people can get when you swell government payroll when no one else can find a job in this economy! * I heard Mr. Sousa say on the radio that you're going to be making new and exciting investments in “green tech”. I will need to know the terms of each deal, what I paid for my equity or debt positions, my voting rights and what governance is in place in each investment. * I expect you’ll be hiring an independent auditing firm to value each investment on a mark to market basis and provide a going concern letter in cases where investments might not have worked out as planned. Also “green tech” companies have a nasty habit of going bankrupt as soon as their government subsidies end, but with your and Mr. Sousa’s long track record of picking winners in this industry, I’m not worried about that. * I’d like you to offer some consolation to parents in Ontario who are concerned they're leaving their children a $308 billion debt. Such worry warts! Yes, our $308 billion debt makes Ontario the most leveraged jurisdiction in North America. We now have twice the debt of the state of California with half the population! * Oh yes, just one more thing. You promised that this initiative was going to reduce carbon emissions, so I will need the reduction data on a quarterly basis as well. I know your critics say you could have left all this money in the hands of companies that employ thousands of Ontario workers and in the pockets of entrepreneurs who create new jobs in Ontario, but you told us you could do a better job with it and you didn’t give us a choice anyway. We're already one of the most uncompetitive and highest taxed jurisdictions in North America, so who cares about a few more billion in taxes? Well, maybe some taxpayers did care. They were some of the 29,000 Ontario residents that were affected by your last 2% super tax on Ontario’s high earners. I know they were very concerned about air quality too. Many moved to Nassau where carbon emissions are low. They don’t pay tax in Ontario any more so let’s forget about them. They're not going to give us any more trouble or tax revenue. On behalf of myself and all the Ontario taxpayers who still live here, I want to know that you're our leader on this fund. Before you know it, there's going to be another election in Ontario and I’m going to make damn sure both of you get all the credit you deserve on this. Oh, and good luck with the funds performance. No one else on earth has ever reduced emissions or made money doing this, so I’ll be watching and keeping everybody informed with all the good news that is sure to be coming. And, of course, we will all be breathing easier watching those carbon emissions plunge as soon as you start spending this money! Yours respectfully, Kevin O’Leary @kevinolearytv
  21. LA Kings and Chicago Blackhawks have the highest number of Canadian players on their rosters
  22. its marketing, clubs like arizona, florida, atlanta, before they were moved and up til Gretzky was traded , LA. Hockey is still being branded in the southern US. a lot of customers of mine have gotten tickets given to them in the grocery store parking lot to go to a panthers game just so they can fill seats. top 3 sports in the us i would say football, basketball, baseball top 3 in canada, hockey, football, soccer
  23. did i say that? no. according to google map directions, its 20hrs 46min through windsor/detroit, 20hrs 20min through Buffalo, and 21hrs 5min through Sarnia. All border crossings will be busy depending on time of day you cross. I grew up in Sarnia, watched them build the twin bridge, have travelled it many times, its busy from about 10am - 4pm, then tapers off
  24. you could go down through Sarnia, pass through Port Huron, and over/around Detroit
