  1. oh hell yea, those knuckling jump serves that come in flat, are insane to try to and handle. Some of the rallies have been ridiculous! just put your hands in the way and hope for the best. i think its schmit for canada hitting OVER the blocks from 6'9 and 6'10 players, thats some serious hops
  2. yea, someone forgot the chlorine in the pool today! yuck!!! I like the pros there, but only when its an equally skilled field, ex: hockey and baseball when it comes back, do not like when its a stacked deck like in basketball. i mean, your supposed to send your top athletes. With hockey, its a crap shoot with who will win, great players from all around the world. Baseball, you know Japan, Dominican, Puerto Rico, Cuba, US, Canada, and Australia will be highly competative, With Japan being a favourite. Really liking the indoor volleyball this year, if you haven't seen it, watch a match, crazy ball speeds, with some big players.
  3. was just reading about it, sounds like the racers weren't prepared despite ample time for training runs
  4. you said it. that second link i have posted there, the Canadian swimmer for the relay team is surprised by her parents during an interview.

  7. i'll watch the track events, and volleyball, both beach and indoor. and hope Canada can take gold in soccer this time round. I refuse to watch basketball, because you already know whos going to win. at least with hockey its a crap shoot on whos going to win.
  8. the kids and camp counsellors will be so happy to finally have properly working gear
  9. Yea, cities have begun opening their eyes, the cost of the games is too high, think Vancouver is the only one that the games didn't hurt, in recent history. But they had the world class facilities in place already, with Whistler for all the skiing events, and then an NHL arena. Think the only thing they had to build was the village, bobsled and speed skating venue. Rio was a very controversial venue right from the get go, many wondering why it was chosen to begin with.
  10. Opening ceremony is tomorrow night, and things aren't exactly off to a good start. Check out these rooms that are unfinished with construction materials laying around as the athletes are moving in. http://www.thescore.com/olym/news/1070965-jamaican-athletes-arrive-to-unfinished-rooms-at-rio-2016
  11. yep, time for a new reel, wold also highly recommend a daiwa laguna, probably best reel in the $50 range
  12. be nothing but a red mark on the ground
  13. hes not pitching that badly. his ERA is inflated, was at like 2.70 going into june, met a red hot cleveland team twice, and then todd frazier touched him up, opponents batting .218 against him vs .306 against Storen. Joaquin Benoits game log http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.cgi?id=benoijo01&t=p&year=2016#pitching_gamelogs::none
  14. its not the downloading thats getting you in trouble with your isp, its the files getting shared afterward. you need to disable the share feature on your torrent downloader
  15. thats the other secret to aging beef, it needs to have a thick fat layer, otherwise you lose too much meat
  16. this beauty is currently hanging in our cooler, cut a couple of sirloin steaks off today about 45 days of age. and the Prime grade stamp
  17. Sure thing, Buckingham Meat Market, 28 Buckingham Ave (runs East off Simcoe) big white house about 50yrds off Simcoe, just north of the Oshawa hospital. Phone# 905-725-2213 My boss will give dicounts if you were to buy a full piece type thing, that will give you about 16 1" thick steaks. we can cut and wrap em for you on the spot.. You can ask for me if you like, Joel.
  18. we age full sides of beef, it makes a difference, we have one customer who once told us to hang it til the hide grows back
  19. for one that size, around $22-$24, we're at $44/KG for a boneless prime rib steak, and $30 /kg for a bone in prime rib steak. for comparison, sobeys is at $41.87 for a bone in prime rib steak that they call Canada AAA, so most likely from out west somewhere. we are not open on Sundays, Sundays and Mondays are our weekend, we're open Tuesday-Saturday, 9-6 Tues-Thurs, 9-8 on Fri, and 9-5 on Saturday.
  20. some prime grade (above AAA) rib eye aka Delmonico steaks that we cut
  21. come down and see me, literally 20 minutes down simcoe st from there, all ontario, no added growth hormones, no anti biotics, free range, 28 days age, AAA or better only. ps, vacuum sealing isn't great for keeping meat, the seal will break if the package gets knocked around while frozen, and then freezer burn. we use a freezer paper, same as traditional butcher wrap, but its coated on the inside with a food grade polyurethane coating. will keep meat frozen up to a year and half with issues, you can knock it around, have it fall out of the freezer, and not have to worry about the seal breaking
