  1. Wayne, I heard the weather and driving conditions were so nasty up your way this morning they even had to pull the snowplows off the road. We've got absolutely no snow down this way at all, other than a couple inches of hard packed stuff that's been here for 2 weeks. Hope it clears for you soon and you and the Mrs still get a chance to head to the cottage for a few days .
  2. Yeah Paul, I always figured the guys who designed those old convertible trucks was probably doing it from a nice warm office in Arizona or something, rather than having to actually drive them in frigid temperatures. Lots different today though, I understand our new aerials are well over a million $$$$ apiece. I think I joined up about 40 years too soon
  3. Paul, back in the day, some of our trucks had no roofs, heaters or defrosters on them. Makes driving kinda tough when your trying to change gears and have no feeling in your feet or hands and you've got 8" of snow in your lap and on top of your helmet. The good ole days weren't always that good
  4. Windchill of 22 below is very cold and it doesn't really matter how cold it is anywhere else.

  8. Prolbably just a little bit of ice in the key slot Rick. Try heating the key with a match, or giver a shot of lock de-icer.
  9. I just came back from my usual morning hike and it's definetely a cool day with some strong breezes to go along with it. If your hitting the ice today, just be prepared for it

  14. We also trained with Annie for many years on the job and the jokes were endless, but one of the funniest was when the instructor told someone the 1st thing to do is shake her, and ask "Annie, Annie, are your OK" ??, and the student said......Sure that's fine in the classroom, but what do we say in an actual situation if the patients real name isn't Annie ??
  15. Jamie, I think Diane & I may be coming to Ottawa for a weekend sometime this month to do the tourist thingy, I'll give you a call if it happens.
  16. I think the default is faster, but the Club seems easier on my eyes
  17. I watched Gord Pyzer's musky seminar at the Odyssee a coupla years back and it was excellent, so I'll definetely be sitting in on his talk again this time too. Well worth watching !!
  18. The board was upgraded last night guys, so maybe everything hasn't quite fallen into place yet.
  19. That's absolutely disgusting !! You're minding your own business and doing nothing wrong, some punk steals your Jeep, then smashes it up, and YOUR the one that's out the money. Trouble is, the guys that did it will probably get off with a slap, while your forking over your hard earned money.....what a lousy system we've got Not that it'll help you, but I had a similar thing happen to me about 30 years ago. Some guy stole a truck and was roaring thru town, lost control and smashed into my car that was sitting in MY driveway while I was asleep. He took off and was never caught. My insurance paid to repair my car, but I was out the deductible. Hope things work out for you Brian
  20. Look on the bright side Paul, at least it'll be easier to handle than that 18 wheeler you wrestled around town for all those years.
  21. I'll be going on the Thursday
  22. It's always good news when a soldier comes home safely !!
  23. Wassup Raf, your not suggesting fishermen exaggerate are you ??
  24. Thanks folks, like I said, nuthin fancy, but I don't think the fish really care, and besides, it's always a good thing when we can do something ourselves and save a few $$$$
  25. Sounds like your all set to look after your customers Sam, and hopefully your gonna have an excellent season out there
