  1. The foot pedals on those PD units have been a pain in the butt for years.
  2. Watching the big girls heading back to swim another day is the best kind of action for me
  3. We always take a run into Noelville during our trips to Lakair so we'll check out the new vegetable place next week. I actually got gas at that ESSO in June but didn't notice it then.
  4. Fantastic Bruce, that's great news. Will you have far to trailer the boat for the GB muskies ??
  5. I wan't really complaining Jer, more just being curious. If I can't get in there I just drive up to either Emerald Ilse or Gannons Narrows marinas. Free IS nice once in awhile though
  6. I've always been one to take the advice of people who manufacture items because I figure they recommend things for a reason. If the company that built my boat trailer tells me I should use trailer specific tires, then that's what I'm gonna use. If they wanted me to use automobile tires on my trailer, they would have told me so. Or maybe I'm wrong
  7. Thanks cram, I was under the impression it was discontinued.
  8. Marvins tangled with a few skunks in his time Fred, but so far he hasn't noticed this guy....yet
  9. Is it actually against the rules to park there if you haven't launched a boat, are there signs to say that ?? The reason I ask is I often use the free ramp at the causeway on Chemong Lake but the last couple years the parking lot is sometimes completely full of vehicles without trailers by very early in the morning. I've gone there a few times to launch my boat but there's no parking spots left and I have to go somewhere else to launch. I've never seen signs indicating any rules for whose allowed to park in the lot and have wonder if it's actually just a public lot for anyone. I have a feeling the cars without trailers is a group of fellas using it for car pooling.
  10. I had a very similar incident 10 years ago on Yonge St. in Toronto. I was driving north in the left lane and a guy was passing me in the curb lane trying to race ahead of me to get in front of me as there was a parked car ahead of him in his lane. I didn't even see him till he was right beside me and as he cut in front of me his back fender clipped the corner of my front bumper. He was going so fast it spun him sideways in front of me and I hit him broadside crunching in alot of his car but doing nothing more than a couple scrapes on my front bumper. He admitted guilt right away and I called the police. They said they were very busy and couldn't come but seeing as nobody was injured just go to the Reporting Center. We exchanged information and then the other guy now claimed it was my fault and he refused to go to the Reporting Center. I left him at the side of the road and went by myself. The officer at the Center looked at my truck and could see the other cars paint on the outside corner of my bumper, plus where I hit him in the side and said it was very obvious that my story was true. When I said the other guy refused to go to the Center, they said they'd look after it all and lay the appropriate charges. I contacted my insurance company and sent them a copy of the report and they paid for my damages and I never heard from them again. Sorry for the long post but it's just so similar to your accident. Go to the Reporting Center and tell them exactly how it happened and see what happens. Take a bunch of pictures of your car too.
  11. Looking forward to spending the week with you & Barb, John. See you guys on the 11th.
  12. I think I agree with you on the road kill Will Hafta admit though, one of my favorite trolling baits is a 10" black Believer with a white stripe running thru it. Can't buy that pattern anymore but it's still an easy colour to re paint when another colour isn't working.
  13. Hmmmm, never thought about using that little critter as bait
  14. Just so long as he doesn't follow me north
  15. I'm getting things packed for this Saturday's 2 week musky trip up to Lakair and last evening as I came out onto the back deck heading to put some gear in the boat I met up with this little furry guy in the back yard. Can't be a very good omen for an up-coming fish'n trip
  16. Meet me at Lakair next week Doug
  17. Maybe they only put them on the best boats
  18. Fun times for sure Will & a huge fish to boot !! Always good to hook up with old buds too !!
  19. My Skeeter/Yamaha came factory equipped with the seperator Brian.
  20. Just saw this now Geoff and thanks alot for the offer, but I've got everything I need for now. Much appreciated though !!
  21. No need to disconnect Bill but I'd recommend unplugging the troll motor before charging the batteries. And good choice on the Guest charger too.
  22. Can you leave your boat in the water all season Pete ?? I was in a Kawartha trailer park for 36 year and we each had our own dock and I had the owner of the park install an electrical outlet right at the end of my dock. Just come in at the end of the day, plug in the boat, and it's all ready for the next time I'd go out.
  23. Happy B-Day Mo...and all the rest of the family too. See ya next week
  24. Always guaranteed a good time up there and happy to hear you enjoyed your vacation....it's definetly a beautiful area !! Like Roy, the Mrs and I are also heading up on Saturday for another 2 weeks. I was thinking about you guys when that storm went thru. The radar pictures we saw down here pretty well showed tornado warnings going right over your head so it's good to hear it wasn't as nasty as it could have been....specially in a tent.
  25. Ya, I spose you could say 815 fish was a good trip Sounds like you had a great time Doug !!
