  1. If I'm alone in the boat in warm weather it's usually bare feet, anyone else along and I'll put on sandals. When the weather gets cold it's either my Gortex lined Soloman hiking boots or the lined rubber boots.
  2. Warm weather months is casting large bucktails, spinnerbaits & jerkbaits for muskies and when it gets colder it's lotsa trolling with big body baits.
  3. Why do you need to be constantly on the move Roger ?? When I'm working a weedline, rock outcrop or any kind of structure for that matter, I'll sit on a spot and fan cast to every nook & cranny that may hold a fish, and after I've covered every spot, then I'll move along a bit. If you need a motor to keep you constantly on the move your gonna be missing alot of prime spots and good fish. My boat came with a Terova but I told him the deal would only go thru if he swapped it out for a Fortrex. Slow down and smell the roses...or fishes... my friend
  4. Either that Roy or I'm just full of useless knowledge
  5. The word is actually cubit...with a T... and is the distance from your elbow to the tip of your fingers....and I have absolutely no idea why I know that

  11. Next time we fish together Pete, you better hang a name tag around your neck so I know who the heck you are
  12. Great looking pup for sure Pete. He won't replace Ben but you'll love the little guy just as much.
  13. Pickerel are just like bass or pike or musky or any other darned fish in that they'll hit just about anything that swims past their face. They don't care if it's a worm, a spinnerbait or even a big ole wooden jerkbait.
  14. When my brother and I were kids we rigged up a sail with a bed sheet and 2x2's on our canoe and had a ball with it. Only trouble was we never figured out how to sail back home again into the wind so we always ended up doing ALOT of paddling. Thirty minutes to sail with the wind pushing us one way, but 2 hours to paddle back.
  15. Nova Scotia is also a beautiful place and a great spot for a vacation, specially if you spend a few days touring Cape Breton.

As for BPS, I've only been there 6 or 8 times and not at all for a couple years now, but I've always had good experiences and never had a problem with any of the staff. I normally know what I'm looking for and don't really need anyones help, but it's always been good.
  17. Just watching the news coverage of the tornado and it's hard to imagine what those poor folks were going through while that monster was tearing everything apart. You can prepare for an approaching hurricane but not much you can do with only a few minutes warning of those massive tornadoes about to hit you. Really sad news !!

If one of these "rude customers" decides he doesn't like the idea of you following him on his way home with the intent of putting fear into him and turns around and smashes you in the face, what would your response be to that ??
  19. Great news indeed Brad, good to hear that kinda stuff !!
  20. Best wishes for a speedy recovery

  24. Thanks guys, it's a bugger to get old(er) A few years back I had a real nice set of chrome wheels on my truck. I stopped at a red light and a kid on the sidewalk said "heyyyy mannnn, those wheels are sick" I thought he was insulting me until I learned the truth
  25. What the heck do the words mang and meh stand for ?? I keep seeing them but have no clue. Forgive my dumbness, but I'm old
