I wasnt sure if placing it on the floor of the boat would cause damage to it or not. i built a motor box for the outboard and put it on the floor, vs leaving it hanging on the transom. Maybe I will do the same with the trolling motor. Cheers and thanks for the advice. Matt I will be in the picton area this weekend and may have an open seat if anyones looking.

yup....but with my boat cover it may make more sense toraise it up and tilt it inside. Does that pose a diaster IYO?

Aluminum gunnels are the way to go imo. They never rot, and feel better on your legs vs the ABS type. Although ABS would be much cheaper I suppose.

I have never had a stern mount trolling motor till now, Ive never paid attention to what everyone does with it while trailering the boat. Could you people tell me what you do with your transom mount electric motors while going down the highway? Cheers Matt

Took the thermostat out. Did not find anything unusual in that area. I guess I will keep my fingers crossed and hope any remnants got blown out the discharge pipe!! But if there's anything else you guys think I should check PLEASE let me know!!! Cheers Matt

Ran it. The water stream was perfect. lots of pressure ,shooting a long ways from the engine. I have actually never noticed a motor that spits such a good stream. The engine ran perfect. Kwikfish thanks for the heads up. I will take the thermostat out and check that area. I cant remember if I checked there when i changed the impellar or not? Its a easy place to check, as i had changed ithe thermostat the previous year when I bought the motor. Never changed the impellar #@###$. bought the part, but never changed it. Lesson learned!!

Well that s what i am hoping also.

Last season when I was putting my 2stroke 15hp yamaha to bed for the season, I noticed the water pump wasn't pumping any water while in my water barrel. I took it apart and the impellar had disintegrated into many peices including many small pieces. So i had a new impellar and changed it myself with little problem. It seemed fairly easy, ran it for maybe 3 minutes, pumped water like a champ, put her away to her nice warm bed..... Today i brought her out of the furnace room and I am planning to fire her up for the first time this yearin the barrel. Here's my question.... Where did all those pieces go that i Didn't find? Should I be looking at cleaning somewhere to get them out? Am i overthinking it, and all is fine. This thing ran perfect last year and I do not want to do any damage/further damage since changing the impellar. Cheers and Thanks Matt

Ice has been out for a little while now. water levels higher and water temps cooler than normal. Have a friend working in Sudbury and he has been fishing alot. He and locals are agreeing that the bite has not turned on quite yet. But it sure is fun to fish!!!!

Thanks for your input fellas!! I never even thought about there being the 2 ways of charter fishing for them. I will get ahold of him and see what his preference is. Should also note he is thinking of having a few buddies join him. This would make a total of 3 fisherman possibly 4. that may change the style choice/options a little also? Maybe you could fill me in if there is still a casting type charter for this many bodies?

I have a friend who is turning 40, for his birthday gift from his wife he wants to go on a guided musky trip on lake st clair. Was hoping I could get some recommendations on some good charter captain, who could help this guy fufill his his hopes and dreams of catching a musky. His plan was for some time in June. He would like a fully guide trip as in all gear and boat supplied. Thanks for the help!! Matt

they will all work. The 1st ctc will allow you to boost your truck/car in a needed situation.

Imo, you should be looking at the AGM type batteries. You say that you are fully discharging your current battery, this couuld be what "killed" your current battery so quickly if its a standard lead battery. The AGM is supposed to handle a complete drain, and not effect the life. Most chargers have a setting for these type of batterys, mine reads deep cycle/agm. A standard battery only likes to be drained to about 70% where the agm can be 100%. I am trying a AGM this year also, and Parts source has some of them on sale currently.

Could be a long shot, but worth a phone call. Call Ryder and see if they need any vehicles driven to Halifax, I know when I just purchased a cube van from them, I was considering bringing a unit in from Halifax, heck they may even get paid to drive it? -
All hatcheries are under MNR supervision. You can not just start doing this stuff for the fun of it.

I can not understand how some anglers find private stocking programs such a waste of time and money. Is declining populations in certain fisheries not a problem? Is improving any fishery a waste of effort? Are these people holding out on the golden "answer" and just want to tell everyone what a waste of time and effort they are partaking in, all while they know exactly what should be done? please tell, to avoid the shell game. If people choose to raise money and donate time in the effort of an improvement of a fishery, what is the problem people have with that? Is there many people that they know of that are pocketing money from these programs, becoming rich from these situations or something i am unaware of ? I don't know of any of these hatcherys that are claiming to be the all out answer, and if you don't help or support, your a bad person. Its simply concerned and interested people trying to help or improve. What is the problem with that? Please tell. Then tell what should be going on instead. Im thinking these same people must have to think that any experimental procedure is out right foolish? Why is putting native fish back into their native enviroment such a no-no? There has to be an ultimate answer in their minds. PLEASE TELL!!

Pork pie, I'm thinking you can still get one put on a new machine. There is aftermarket kits for some bikes also. A buddy of mine just put one on his PooPoo 2up. You may be onto something about Efi, I'm not sure on that ,another reason not too interested in it. Solid axle, foot shift, carb, with Power steering would be a sweet setup imo

It was always and still is an option on Honda bikes. Not too many dealers order them in without it, but you will find some that did not have them installed. Your bike may be one of the few. They go on the right side behind the removable lower plastic body panel. You can buy one from Honda for about $200. An invaluable accessory in my mind if riding alone and far from the house. If you treat your bike like a submarine, this a spot for water access, you will have to seal it up. Even if you aren't into the snorkel type riding, which I don't recommend, they are a good thing to give a try every so often,or you may have a rusted, broken, broken recoil or rotted rope at the time you need it. As sealing them is kinda difficult. Mines not sealed,as I don,t ride water unless forced. Cheers

op. sorry to hear of your loss. Hospitals are a shhty place to be and visit. After the visit, the last thing you get to do is feed a $20 into a stupid machine. One thing that is availlable at a lot of hospitals, that they dont tell you about, is a monthly parking pass. In London a visitor month pass was in the neighborhood of $85. It's still too much, a pain to acquire, but is considerably cheaper than paying daily. We even got a system going where we would pass it around the family at"sitting changes", or meet them in the lot when we left and give it to them once you got out of the gate. Silly measures to take, but were talking 100s of dollars a week if visiting daily.

The look of granite is very nice and hard to match. It is a rock. It is pourous. It requires some maintaince. no warranty . I like Corian ,lifetime warranty, non-pourous, can be refinished. Corian is in all the new hospitals, for the cleanliness (non pourous) application, and it is a very stable product vs a 1 000 000 000 piece of beautiful rock.

There is only one single legal way that you do not have to start paying. It is if you only and everytime work directly for a home owner and are paid directly by them. If you are a sub trade to a contractor you must have a clearance certificate. If you are a contractor working soley for home owners in renovations than you can opt out. New home construction must pay. If you ever need help with any of this, there is a government detachment that is GREAT help. It is called The Office Of the EMPLOYER advisory. I would ask to speak with a the director, named MICHEAL ZACHS, he is a very good man and knows everything you would ever need to deal with WSIB. Weather it is an employee getting hurt, audit , .....anything. They are the people you must talk with to get the ins and outs and are completely confidential. They WORK FOR YOU in this sometimes confusing mess of a system, NOT against you. Again I stress, Talk to these people if you are ever in any situatiojn with WSIB and are the owner of your business. He is very prompt, and will get back to you quickly in my experience. Its A much better phone call then to a lawyer IMO. Cheers If you get hurt, you can collect.

Yes it seems steep. For me as a residential contractor I too now pay, $8.88 this year, next year they are up to $9.10 Thats basically a 10% cost increase to the client. On the bright side, we will now have EXCELLENT insurance if god forbid we would ever need it. My other rate for agricultural construction is $4.10. This seems a little too far apart in premiums IMO. As I would say my agricultural jobs are even more hazardous than a home. Don't forget how evryone got to start paying full HST on labour also. So there you have a 17% increase in cost for a homeowner to hire someone to work on their house in the last few years. None of it in my pocket, I just have to explain it to all clients.
