  1. ckewley, on your post #92 there is a trailer for Corruption. It feels like a porno you could only see on Younge Street back in the seedy days of Younge Street. Look at the guy sitting at the head of the table on the left side of the shot. It could be Vince Vaughn's Father. Something that would never get past editing today is the round shinny Art? on the wall behind the actress. In many shots of her it looks like a big shinny hat or a halo. I love those old 70's and 80's flicks. So bad they are good. Like the show on Spike TV. Americas Worst Tenants, something like that. Man it is so bad a "reality TV" show I can't wait till it airs. Today a tenant had a horse in her bedroom, but the steroid laced investigator never noticed the smell, they only realized there was a horse crapping on the bedroom floor after they opened the door. Then they had to pull down an exterior wall to get it out. How did she get it in, maybe it was a baby horse then. Wowza, I love it.
  2. I just watched a great little movie from 2005 on APTN last week. It was so compelling I watched it through those waste of life things selling stuff. The 3 Burials of Malaquides Estrada staring Tommy Lee Jones, Barry Pepper and a young skinny January Jones of Mad Men fame and Melissa Leo, she's great in everything she does in my mind. I didn't recognize January Jones right off the Bat. Based on real events and normally I would end it there but obviously that character dies and is buried 3 times. Estrada is killed by a Border Patrol Agent and it is Rancher Jones pal. He finds out who killed him and he makes Peppers character take the body to Mexico to be properly buried. You have to see it. I don't know how I missed it as I am a bit of a movie buff. It has sex, no drugs and no rock and roll and it is still a great movie. I speak a bit of Spanish and I was surprised that Tommy Lee Jones spoke perfect Spanish/Mexican in the movie. Man can he handle a horse, no stunt guy, he showed off riding a bit. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised I think he is a Texan. Thanks for the trailers ckewley. I did see a few of them. I saw Batman/Superman on the Movie Chanel Saturday and I was surprisingly entertained. I read nothing but bad reviews for it so didn't bother to rent it. I could not believe the muscle mass on Ben Affleck, can that be done with CGI rather than anabolic steroids? You don't get that big working out with very heavy weights, a great diet and a great trainer 5 days a week for a year straight. It takes years to get that big naturally, years not months. There's only 1 magic pill for that. It was entertaining which is what a movie is supposed to do. Some people expect a movie to change their lives and it doesn't so they pan it. Neon Demon was on the other night, I tried to get through it but not for me. My wife who is a strange woman loved it and Lobster too. Favorite movie of the year Deadpool. It had the same vibe as Guardians of the Galaxy. Comic book Action comedy ridiculous category. Deadpool has a chance to win an Oscar for Best Movie and will be the first Comic Book based movie to do that and there have been a few great Batman's made. I said a few pages before I didn't see anything I really liked but have seen a few new movies for free since that I really liked. Jason Bourne was OK, that's about it, maybe I wasn't in the mood. He is massive in this movie too. Maybe he and buddy Ben worked out together and shared their Gatorade laced with Testosterone.
  3. Yea Dave, you have your own honey holes, stay away from ours will ya please. By the way I was born the week of Hazel hitting. TO got it worse than we did. My Mother says that there is still hurricane related damage ongoing and that would be I.
  4. I didn't make it to Maitland to check. Good to hear that it's clear. We do have about a par 4 of ice on the point. Here today gone tomorrow. Again good fishing and enjoy.
  5. I just noticed something. 54 members and close to 300 guests on the site a few minutes ago. The more people here the better for marketing. I've noticed more details in a few ice reports. I might be off here, just sayin'.
  6. Those pics are XXXX rated Steve. I hope you have a great season. I got to Florida for the holidays so I have some vitamin C built up and I'm not to jealous of you 2 this year. There isn't any snow here, haven't used the shovel. I hope they have cleared the mouth of the river. There is pack ice to Caledonia not moving. I was in town today and it was pouring hard. The storm sewers were backing up in front of Giant Tiger and the $ store.
  7. And I haven't used the shovel yet. The broom a few times. I'm on the phone tonight talking to a pal living outside Chesley, he is looking at 5 feet of snow. Our grass is green. My wife raked leaves today before it started raining again. We are lucky for sure, unless you own a sled and skis. I am concerned about the river flooding when the ice lets go.
  8. Live, that's a good one. I'm going to mod q myself before I get impeached before Trump does. Can they impeach a Prez. elect before he takes the oath of office? By the way Art (I know you are here) what does mod q stand for. I assume it's short for Moderator, what's the "q" represent?
  9. I really dislike going to the Hospital for anything. Besides the 25 bucks to park I went for a CT scan last week for an 8:15 appointment. The lady looked at me and said you are 12 hrs early. She took pity on me. I get in there and there is 1 guy waiting. I was in and out in 20 minutes, What the???? Did all the people that should have been in line there that would have had me come at night all cancel? Good way to get a second shift scheduled eh?
  10. He hasn't done anything really badly,,,,,, yet ( please refer to Ontario for examples). Maybe he was at Mr. Khan's to get us some money. How do you think Gov. business is done, in Parliament? Yea right. Hold on there Bubba Boy. This is a political thread. I'm going to report you to the authorities.
  11. John Bacon I was remiss in not telling you that was the best one I heard this year. BB, it is spelled boy. It's all in the accent boy. I'll ask you a newfie question that I learned years ago. What be a "flanker" buy. By, buy, boy.
  12. When Lew speaks of Musky we should all listen closely. What lures would you use Lew?
  13. Looks familiar Rick, or worse but for maybe an hour with several stops pulling into someones laneway. No way for more than that. Not this year though. Rain, rain and more rain today. If it continued there would be severe flooding along the Grand River, plenty of pack ice today on it. After my first surgery in 78' they put a cast on from hip to toe. My kid brother made a hand control for the accelerator out of a pool cue bridge and I would use my left foot for the brake. Worked great or I would be stuck at home for weeks. Good luck on the therapy young Brudder. I call the stuff the therapist asks you to do on your own "homework". Do your homework but not beyond what he or she asks. No pain no gain. What you do now will determine your quality of life for the rest of your life.
  14. I'm not a Musky guy. I only landed 3 in close to 40 years of wetting lines. 2 were caught with a real deal guide in the West Arm. The first, a Tiger, was while trolling for Pics using a Mepps Black Fury without a leader on 8 pound mono. Ask me if that was fun. It hangs on a wall in the kitchen. That was long before catch and release was in vogue. I don't know how some of you guys can toss those bricks all day, day in and day out. Good for you but I will most likely never do that again thinking back. I think that tossing lighter lures will become very popular especially for those that were born before 1960 or even latter. I hope you the best Weeds, you are onto something here.
  15. I have had a stiff knob for years on my Shimano 1500. My mechanical skills for miniscule tasks are not the best. Fat fingers and poor eye sight. I give it a shot of machine oil occasionally. It is around 20 years old and it doesn't owe me anything, I love it because of the rear drag, those 1500 and 2500 series are built like Sherman tanks. Not for finesse fishing. Try giving her a shot of a good quality machine oil.
  16. And this AM there is another 300 yards of somewhat smooth ice out here. How does that much water freeze overnight when they said it was +3 last night??????? Wind chill must be real, because she was a blowin' hard here all night, must have been from NW because no icebergs. I thought the water sloshing around in the toilet from wind down the vent stack last night was going to splash out of the toilet. Fish Farmer looking good for you ice trailblazer nuts so far for Erie. Ask me tomorrow might have the beach back, crazy ice. A dog wandered out onto the ice on the Grand River below the Dunnville Dam the other day and went through. The couple that are the Dog's owner also went through trying to get to the Dog. Lucky there were people close by and heard the cries for help. Dunnville rescue Zodiac was launched and all 3 are fine because of a lightning fast response of the Rescue team and someone watching over them from above for sure. Puppy went to the local vets for a check up and the couple were treated at the local hospital and were released soon after. I hope the couple went and bought Lotto Max tickets after they got warm and dry. I am not going to preach to the choir but there is a lesson to pass onto others not so ice savvy like these lucky folks.
  17. Just PM me anytime you are available Tom. I am doing some work from home for a while so I am not on the clock. Just let me know Tom.
  18. Tom we need to meet one afternoon some time this winter at the Legion or Back 40 to swap fishing lies. A 2 man Cayuga OFC GTG.
  19. Nice shot big guy. He's built like a horse. But I bet he will taste better. I don't like to see the animal or have any relationship with it before it hits the heat. Yes I thought meat came as seen in the butchers shop that had sawdust on the floor. I do remember thinking at around 5 or 6 yrs old that meat was located between the fat and muscle. City boy.
  20. If you know a 10 year old have them do it for you. Actually my 5 year old great niece that speaks 3 languages makes movies already. I call her baby Scorsese. She reminds us all she's not a baby. She is being tested for alien DNA.
  21. Maybe a few famous crimes may be solved. Let me put my Tin Hat on. Canadian link to Dallas. Ohio Fisherman, it is said if you don't have an Enfield in your home you aren't truly Canadian. I read that somewhere here just tonight.
  22. ^ what I love best about OFC.
  23. This morning we had about 400 yards of good smooth ice here. Smooth enough kids down the lane played shinny here Sunday. It was a possibility that we could get to 10 foot depths easily. I was ready to call Fish Farmer and let him know. It's a good spot because the ducks feed there all fall an latter if it doesn't freeze. Usually huge icebergs because the wind piles it and no way to get out there unless you are a Himalayan goat. Today at 4PM green grass and sandy beach. Dave you can send some ice down here for the southern Ont. hardwater guys. It's always -20 on the top of #5 Blast Furnace on the Bay on a nice day. I really miss that.
  24. Tom, take them down to Al Simmons gun shop on Locke St. in Hamilton and they will fix you up. I dealt with them for years when I was at the Hamilton gun club on #20 in Binbrook way back when, Simmons and the gang were the best around. I haven't heard great things about the gun shop on 3# in Simcoe. I just saw a new Hunting/ fishing shop driving through Binbrook today. It is in the new plaza on the west side of 56 south of the main intersection in the same building as the Dentists. Heck maybe with some of the crazy names new retailers have it might be a ladies dress shop. Just a thought maybe give a gun club a call or email for advise. Why would someone bury ammo in a wall?
  25. At my age the wish list is short, I've pretty well had them all at some point, no airplane though, was close to sharing a Piper Cherokee 140 some 40 years ago. I have most all the toys for getting to and finding fish, now I need some kind of toy to catch em'. Last season was the worst since I first wet a line.
